If you own a pair of Crossfades & already like how they sound, these XL earpads are the must have upgrade to your cans.I personally use a pair of Crossfade LP², & these are a nice bass heavy, v-shaped sounding cans. With the stock earpads, the headphone usage was fatiguing after using for about 30mins. My ears used to touch the inner surface of the parts covering the drivers. After upgrading to xl earpads, the coushions nicely rest over the ears, the difference in comfort is easily noticeable. I think that I can finally start using my headphones for extended sessions without any ear fatigue. Now for the best part, the sound! There isn't any remarkable improved in the highs, but the mid range has really become punchy. The bass can be 'felt' better. Among the audiophile circles, this v-shaped sound is much despised, but if your musical preferences revolve around electronic music & you also use Crossfades, you are totally in for a next level auditory experience with the xl earpads upgrade. The rolling bass of some of my favorite psychedelic trance tracks has now becoming much more engaging. It's like a party happening right inside your head.To summarize, with this upgrade, it's the tastiest & a much more comfortable v-shaped sound that you would have ever experienced.

Greatly increases the capabilities of an already very impressive headphone. After living with the M-100 Crossfades for about 3 years I'd grown really accustomed to their unique sound signature (the "V" shape with sparkly highs and punchy lows) but noticed that as the default pads compressed further and further my ear was beginning to touch the driver. This lead to issues with an oddly shaped sound stage and some misdirection with the stereo imaging that caused sounds in the very center to sound as though they originated slightly off center. Instead of replacing the pads with another set of the default ones, I decided to order the XL replacements and so far I'm unbelievably impressed with the difference these make in everyday listening and the versatility these add to the headset overall. From the perspective of someone who is probably a bit more in love with audio in general than any one person should be, here's what you can look forward to:-Increased sound stage depth, probably a good doubling of the overall soundstage-The expanded stage does wonders for providing better audio separation, meaning you get a clearer picture of where each sound is originating from and significantly less bleed from one channel to the other.-Better fit, more comfortable for long periods of time; the default pads are very tight in comparison and often times would put your ear directly to the driver. These correct this, so the soreness from contact as well as the midrange fatigue from the treble being so immediate is completely resolved. All said the only real drawback is the inability to fold them down to fit in their case. While you can still do this for portability I would not recommend it as the foam seems incredibly malleable and seems to hold shapes more easily than most memory foam pads I've encountered, so compressing them will just make them thinner more quickly and you'll lose the openness that the deeper pads grant you. Finally, I've seen some folks say the bass and low end impact are adversely affected by these pads and honestly if they are it is incredibly minor and the increase in bass clarity more than makes up for it.

I'm still waiting on the actual m-100s from a different seller but i actually got these early and was impressed with the shipping speed. Came a day before the earliest delivery date which is always an instant 3 stars in my book. Besides the shipping speed i put them over my ears and kind of just simulated what the headphones with them would be like and i'm actually impressed at how thin they look but they let your ear feel like its deep in there. I can't see any problems i might have with comfort (which is actually why i got these because i heard the stock ear cushions that are on the m-100s are not that comfortable after a while). All i really want to see now is the effect it will have on the sounds quality, though i doubt there will be any difference. Top notch v-moda...top notch.EDIT: My V-modas just arrived and at first the pads were extremely hard to take off and i probably would have broken them if i hadn't watched a youtube video. Just make sure to watch a quick video on youtube and you'll be able to change them (they do take quite a bit of force). Anyways they are very comfortable, have had them on for 4 hours and experienced little discomfort that isn't noticeable at times. They also help with the isolation and add a more dynamic sound quality, you can especially notice a small difference in the bass. They also do add quite a bit of bulkiness to the headphones which i don't fancy because i like more slim headphones but it isn't much of a difference. Overall i rate these 4.5/5.

great upgrade for your v-moda cans, adds to the long term comfort and helps to damp external sounds a bit more than the standard ear cup pads…
