Works good. I replaced a tiny Qidi Plus4 cooling fan that just was not coolong a board with this one. While it's by no means silent, it is doing a far better job of keeping the temperature down on the circuit board it is aimed at.

I bought this litter fan to vent a battery box that houses 4 deep cycle batteries for my water well. The battery box is outside under the panels but still gets warm in the summer. When the batteries are charging they off gas hydrogen with a strong sulphur smell. I positioned the fan to draw fresh into the box with a vent on the other end to exhaust the gases. I hooked it up to a small solar panel designed to keep car batteries topped off. When the sun comes up the fan automatically comes on. It's outside so I don't really hear it but when I go to service the batteries I have to check to see if it's running because it's so quiet. I insulated the battery box with 2 inch foam so the fan fits perfectly in the cut out without sticking out. This little fan is more for ventilation than cooling. I have it oriented to draw air in rather than draw gasses out so in the off chance there's a spark it will likely not cause any harm. This is a brushless fan so the chance of sparks is minimal, but because it's not rated for use in explosive areas such as mining and milling industries I used my judgement to place the fan this way. For what it does and the price, I would buy it again.
