This is our second Wakar dehumidifier purchase. The first one has been fantastic for a little over two years and I'm sure this one will be wonderful as well. This is the Waykar 155 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier with Pump, Drain Hose and Washable Filter Space up to 8000 Sq. Ft, for Basements, Industrial or Commercial Spaces - 5 Year Quality Coverage. It just arrived today and is packaged extremely well, which is so important with such a large, heavy item (especially when the delivery drivers left the box sitting in the snow lol). The box was wet on the bottom, but was packaged very well and strapped, so it didn't fall apart while trying to get it in the house. Upon opening the box, it is insulated in heavy cardboard supports on all four corners and the unit itself is wrapped quite well in the most fantastic bubble paper I've ever seen! (Yes, I will absolutely be keeping it to repurpose lol). This unit has a very heavy door that opens allowing you access to the washable filter and has a heavy magnetic closure, so it won't vibrate when operating. The handle is halfway attached and just requires unscrewing two knobs and reinstalling them through the other two holes in the handle. They also included rubber washers so it sits quietly against the sides of the unit. For such a heavy unit, it moves very easily with the oversized wheels and the very sturdy handle. This is a well-built and very solid unit and came with very clear instructions and all the necessary hoses and clamps. It still needs to sit for 24 hours before we can plug it in, but I will update if there are any issues. Very thrilled with this purchase!

I purchased this dehumidifier for a large shop, and so far it’s worked great! It’s heavy duty, but runs pretty quiet. The wheels on it makes it easy to maneuver and move if you have to! It arrived damaged with a broken wheel, but the seller was quick to respond and helped me get a replacement wheel right away! Great product and communication!

I bought this humidifier a little over a year ago for the basement and it reduced and maintained the humidity level in no time. Having hooked up the drain hose and running it to a floor drain, I can leave it running and forget about it. Recently the defrosting cycle stopped working and I contacted their customer service department. They were quick to respond and remedied the issue to my total satisfaction. I definitely recommend this product.

The Dehumidifier was shipped upside down because the shipping label that was applied on the box by the Amazon Shipping Department was intentionally affixed to the bottom of the box even though the box had "this side up" arrows on the exterior of the box. As the box had been upside down during shipping, the lubricating oil inside the compressor pump had settled in undesirable locations within the compressor and was not operable in this condition.Upon receiving the Dehumidifier in this condition, it was necessary to contact WayKar (Manufacturer) to explain the Amazon shipping issue and receive instructions on the procedure for re-orientation of the lubricating oil within the compressor before initial start-up could be undertaken. Support from WayKar was excellent, they provided a detailed process for the repositioning of the oil in the compressor and directions on initial start-up of the unit in case problems were detected (unusual noise, etc.). Being overly cautious, 7 days lapsed between receiving the unit and initial startup to ensure everything was done that could be done to reposition the lubricating oil within the compressor before initial start-up. The dehumidifier seems to be working correctly without any obvious issues or noises, thankful to Waykar Support for their involvement.In my opinion, Amazon Shipping attached the shipping label to the bottom of the box to ensure that the dehumidifier would be shipped upside down in order to create problems for the end user and/or manufacturer. The exterior of the box was clearly identified with arrows indicating "this side up".The unit does a great job of reducing the humidity within the house and would recommend this dehumidifier although I don't know that I would recommend buying it through Amazon given my experience with this item. Amazon needs to rectify the problems in their shipping department.Hope this evaluation is helpful to others that experience a similar situation.
