Love it! 2 hours max to put together. Sturdy. Good materials. Gas charcoal starter works great! Did a burn in after the build. Then Ribeyes. Cooked faster than my old kamado and will be learning to adjust the air flow but steaks were close to perfection. So far worth the price!

Assembly took about an hour, longer than I expected but everything was there. Propane starter is extra convenient. Webers are built to last with the ash can being so easy to remove, no rust build up over time.

I love the grill, it's almost perfect. The gas ignition system coupled with a chimney starter makes things quicker and easier. The counter space next to the grill is welcome because I didn't have that with my last Weber kettle grill. The only problem for me is the Gourmet BBQ System cooking grate. The grate in the center gets in the way and it pops up sometimes when I'm trying to clean it. If you want any of the accessories or plan on adding charcoal through the center then I guess it wouldn't bother you, but I don't need it. If I didn't give my old grill to my brother in law I would've put my old normal side hinged grate on it, but I just ordered a cast iron grate since I was gonna make that upgrade eventually anyway.

PROS - I switched from a Weber propane grill, after 30 years, to this charcoal grill wanting that charcoal flavor again. Starting the charcoal is so easy with the propane starter and the taste of the food is as great or better than I remember. Obviously, using charcoal isn't as instant as using propane - but it is so worth it. It takes about 20 minutes for the coals to get ready to cook on so you need to plan on that. I would buy this grill again and again!CONS - the chain on the container that stores new charcoal under the grill is a bit flimsy, but was not worth knocking a star off my rating.

I've always been a fan of charcoal grilling (as opposed to gas), but lighting the coals has always been a pain. Growing up, my father had a very fancy bbq/grill built-in to the deck when they remodeled, and it included a gas pipe to get the coals going. With my last grill, I'd been using a chimney starter and aiming a plumbing torch into one of the air holes. This worked, but it wasn't as easy.I specifically asked for this model for Father's day this year because of the gas lighting system. Putting the grill together was fairly easy, if you're handy. I particularly like the system of inserts that you can swap out for the middle. I've already used the sear grate and the poultry cooker and the results both times were excellent. The gas lighting system works perfectly even with the charcoal basket things they include (those make it easy to make a roasting fire setup with a drip pan under the poultry cooker and the two baskets of charcoal on either side). The generous table area is a definite plus - much more space than I had with our old grill.I could go on and on with each of the features they outline in the brochure - just about all of them are helpful. If I had any criticism it would be that the knobs intended for hanging utensils don't actually fit any of the things we had to hang, and the coal bucket isn't large enough for the larger size bags of charcoal. But those are minor complaints overall.
