I know the cost is what deters people from buying it, but I will say it’s worth the money I have cell service in places I normally wouldn’t have any and with me using it for work has helped me out drastically keep signal when I need it the most

TLDR: If you are looking for a product designed to boost data signals, this does NOT do that.Overall, I am massively disappointed with this product. Overlanding, I often have 1 bar and a signal that just won’t load webpages, apps, iMessage, etc. Reading the product description I assumed this booster would help. After installing everything to spec, getting a steady “green light” on the booster indicating it’s all working, I finally went on a trip where I had a poor signal and could test this puppy out. No dice. It made zero difference. So, getting to the next town on my trip, I called support. I explained my speed tests with the unit on and off produced the same speeds. The (very friendly and helpful) tech support guy said: oh, this product boosts phone calls, not data. He said it might boost data in some cases, but that is not what it’s built to do. What?Looking back at the product descriptions, indeed, it all says “cell phone signals”. So, shame on me for not reading this properly. But also… I’d argue this is left vague on purpose.I went through a series of tests and confirmed antenna locations with the tech support guy. All of my set-up was confirmed correct. It just doesn’t work.Maybe it’s just me, but when overlanding I need a stronger internet signal. With one bar, I need that to deliver better connectivity. I didn’t need a $550 product to make a phone call. It’s 2024.After the tech support call I have run 3-5 more tests … LTE, 5G, 5Ge. One bar, two bars. Unit on, unit off. My phone near, medium, and far from the ante each.In all cases - speed tests show zero change. The return period has passed. So I will be pulling this thing off my Jeep and trying to sell it for change on eBay. Super bummed. Two stars, rather than one, because the product build quality is great. And tech support was helpful. (The app for testing this unit is awful though.)

I was quite skeptical when I read the description of this product. But I decided to give it a try. I was interested in this device because my family loves camping. And when you go to various campsites most of them have Wi-Fi that you can use that they provide for free. But most of the time the Wi-Fi is pretty sketchy, and it certainly isn’t streaming quality. And on top of it, a lot of these campgrounds are off the beaten path for obvious reasons. So, your cell signal might not be very good. And it's nice to be able to stream a little bit using our mobile hotspots. This device has amazed me and does what it claims. I thoroughly tested it at three different locations that I knew had poor signals. I tried to post the images showing the speed tests, but for whatever reason I wasn’t allowed to.Before and after for the first location was as follows: WITHOUT BOOSTER - “Error. Test Failed to Complete”. WITH BOOSTER - 40 Mbs Download, 5.55 Mbs Upload, Idle Ping: 39, Download Ping: 615, Upload Ping: 786, Download Jitter: 77, Upload Jitter: 82, Packet Loss 0%. So, a night and day difference. Before and after for the second location was as follows: WITHOUT BOOSTER - - 11 Mbs Download, 0.95 Mbs Upload, Idle Ping: 72, Download Ping: 717, Upload Ping: 1663, Download Jitter: 82, Upload Jitter: 94, Packet Loss 0%. WITH BOOSTER – 7.60 Mbs Download, 17.7 Mbs Upload, Idle Ping: 72, Download Ping: 767, Upload Ping: 388, Download Jitter: 84, Upload Jitter: 83, Packet Loss 0%. The dramatic difference is in the upload. Going from 0.95 to 17.7 is amazing. Add in the fact that upload ping went from 1663 down to 388.Before and after for the third location was as follows: WITHOUT BOOSTER - - 15.5 Mbs Download, 0.38 Mbs Upload, Idle Ping: 45, Download Ping: 1085, Upload Ping: 1998, Download Jitter: 100, Upload Jitter: 101, Packet Loss 26.1%. WITH BOOSTER – 22.2 Mbs Download, 5.44 Mbs Upload, Idle Ping: 43, Download Ping: 661, Upload Ping: 760, Download Jitter: 81, Upload Jitter: 73, Packet Loss 0%. The dramatic difference is again in the upload. But the packet loss went from 26.1% down to 0% packet loss. Unreal.I believe I did a thorough test to prove that this device does indeed do what it says it does. It is well worth the money. Dramatic differences in speeds, latency, and packet loss when you compare WITH and WITHOUT the booster.I highly recommend this product.

If you look at the price and think, “Woah, its gonna give me 5 bars and high speed internet!”. Wrong. Buuuut, I believe this is as good as this type of product is gonna get for now. I do the van life, and whenever I use this, I get “one” extra bar. Now you think thats bologna for how much it costs, but with that “one extra bar”, Ive been able to play call of duty from hotspot online with no lag, going from a 2 bar situation to 3 bars. Whenever I travel with it, if it was a “SOS” no signal, I would get a single bar that would go in and out, which means it was enough to access google maps instead of nothing at all. In my humble opinion, it isn’t going to stun you, but it will please you just enough to get noticeable results. Honestly I am okay with what I spent for it, because I’ve gotten good results from it. I guarantee you will get one extra bar, and occasionally you will get two!

I work out of my car. I have poor service in many areas across a large territory. Calling is often a challenge. This large antennae may look goofy on my small Prius but it's an effective solution. It comes with a signal amplifier and an inside antaenna. It's easy to install and non-invasive. It runs off the cigaret lighter outlet and the magnetic mount makes it easy to remove for car washes and dates. You have to buy the magnetic mount separately. I recommend getting the extender for the antennae to maximize effectiveness. Otherwise it comes with a mount that you have to attach to your car.No monthly service fees. Well worth the investment. You can get both on Amazon. It's called weboost Overland model. I tried a cheaper model but this one's better.
