These lamps are great when the electricity in your area is out. They do not give off any heat, but I am able to move around my home from room to room with ease and enough light; and, the oil inside the lamps last a pretty long time.

I love these lamps, the craftsmanship is excellent, the vintage design is beautiful and adds a charming touch to my home decor. They have a clear, classic look that blends well with various interior styles. At 13.2 inches in height, they are a perfect size—not too big, but large enough to make a statement.In terms of functionality, these oil lamps are excellent. The adjustable fire wick feature allows for easy control of the flame size, providing just the right amount of light for different settings. If I'm using them for ambient lighting during dinner or as a reliable light source during power outages, they perform well.Additionally, these lamps are well-constructed and feel sturdy. They seem like they will last for a long time with proper care. Filling them with kerosene is straightforward, and they burn cleanly with minimal odor.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. These oil lamps are not only practical for power outages but also add a lovely decorative element to my home.

When I read "thicker lamp shade" I expected the entire lamp shade to be of a thicker glass. But that is not the case. Only the upper rim is thicker which gives the lamp a sturdier look. I wish they had done the entire lamp shade with thicker glass to make it less nerve-wracking to get the shade clipped into the four shade holders every time I have to light the lamp. I found that description misleading and therefore am subtracting a star.Otherwise this is a nice looking lamp. The bottom is molded from one piece of glass, not two halves glued together like you find with so many glass vases. That insures that no oil will leak out like it always does with those metal hurricane lamps.As for lamp oil, I really don't think that there is a truly odorless lamp oil. They all smell. I would not pay extra for a few drops of a diffuser oil, I can put that in myself for a lot less.These oil lamps come in a two-pack, and that is a good deal.
