Nice protractor works as it should.. had to put loctite on the nut to stop it from coming loose .. don't know why they can't put Teflon nuts on them it would stop that problem.. but all protractors do it

I’ve been using the WEN ME512P Adjustable Aluminum Protractor and Angle Gauge for several woodworking projects, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. As someone who’s familiar with WEN tools, I had high expectations, and this one definitely met them. The protractor is constructed from high-quality aluminum, which makes it lightweight yet incredibly durable. It feels solid in hand and the overall build quality is top-notch.One of my favorite features is the laser-etched scale. The degree markings are precise, with white numbers that stand out clearly against the black background, which makes it super easy to read at a glance. Whether I’m measuring a tricky angle or double-checking cuts, I can trust that the readings are accurate. The markings don’t fade or rub off over time, which is a huge plus, especially for a tool that gets a lot of use in my workshop.The adjustable ruler is great for a wide range of applications, as it measures angles from 0 to 180 degrees. It’s perfect for woodworking, as I use it to ensure my cuts are spot-on. I also find it useful for other DIY tasks that require angle measurements, such as framing or when working with furniture. The 5-1/2-inch scale with 1/16-inch markings is really handy for finer measurements, and the tool is compact enough that it’s easy to store without taking up too much space.However, one minor issue I’ve encountered (which others have mentioned as well) is that the locking mechanism doesn’t always keep the ruler firmly in place. Sometimes it requires a little adjustment to get the lock to hold securely, but it’s not a major inconvenience for me, as it doesn’t affect the overall accuracy of the tool.Overall, this protractor is a great value for the price. It's easy to use, provides reliable accuracy, and helps me get my angles right every time. If you’re looking for a precise, durable angle gauge for your woodworking or DIY projects, the WEN ME512P is definitely worth considering.

The extra part in the middle works well and helps keep marking down angles consistent

This adjustable protractor is laser etched so its markers will not rub off with time; I bought the 5-inch model to suit my design needs.EDIT: Very satisfied after measuring a 20-degree cutting angle for a well-loved knife. The protractor and angle gauge was spot-on and worked brilliantly. The tool has a nice tactile feel.
