I have had my portable halogen lamp for at least 15 years without replacing the super bright bulb. I let the kids use it to play basketball and the end of the bulb just mysteriously cracked off all by itself. I found some at Lowes that fit but were soft light (yellow) which didn't compare to the light output I had before. I was very happy with these bulbs because they were actually a bright white daylight. It may not put out the extreme amount of light the original one did, but I'm sure the regulations have changed. I haven't had any problems and expect these bulbs to last a very long time as long as I don't let the kids use it to play basketball.

Easy to use for replacing broken bulbs, extremely bright and works well for a shop light illumination source.
