This is very light , thin and flimsy. Not good for keeping animals safe from predators.

Positives: This chicken wire cloth is made of metal strands, arranged in a pattern of squares. The square openings are formed by welding the wire of horizontal rows to the wire in vertical columns, and the openings are consistently 1/2" x 1/2". Everywhere each horizontal wire crosses each vertical wire, they appear to be lightly tack welded, and the joints are uniform and not protruding or sharp. Each wire is coated with a plastic type coating, probably dip or spray coated, in a green color. The green color makes the cloth less noticeable so it doesn't stand out in your yard. Generally, the plastic coating covers the wire, both horizontal and vertical, with only a few places exposed or having a glob of plastic. This cloth would keep most predators, such as raccoon, possum, fox, out of your coop. One nice feature of their packaging is the paper separator between each wrap of the metal cloth.Negatives: The packaging roll is too narrow, which exposes one edge of the metal cloth to handling damage.There are a few bare spots where the coating did not cover the wire, and the coating appears to be quite thin, which means it can easily be scraped or nicked.Summary: This is a reasonably well made and uniform metal cloth, and it should provide a few years of good service as a protective mesh for a chicken coop or chicken tractor.
