The gouge is great! Good length and a quality tool. You will have to grind the bevel you want but that's what you would expect. Would definitely buy again so I can have different grinds.

The size mentioned on these tools is the size of the shank, not the flute as we are used to in Europe.I wanted a 13mm gouge and ordered the D3804 Bowl Gouge, 1/2 Inch, but it is what we call here a 10mm (3/8”). The shank is only 1/2".I will then have to order the D3805 Bowl Gouge, 5/8 inch in order to have what we call a 13 mm (1/2”) gouge here.Other than that, the handle is thinner than my other gouges but the HSS steel seems to be good.

Great product, feels nice and sturdy in your hands and keeps a decent edge. Cuts nice and smooth and comes with an edge straight out of the box, I found this a fantastic purchase as some one just getting into the hobby.
