The factory part on my vehicle disconnects from the trunk lid and is a two piece connection, see photo. my car is a 2014 and in doing research ford used parts from 06-11 on my car. So now I can’t find the original part I’m missing which is the connector piece. I went ahead and used these to replace the two pieces that originally came on my vehicle. They work fine and easy enough to slide out I can still remove the shelf. I do recommend!

I found the string to be slightly thicker and more robust looking than the original. Only very slight issue is that I found the length of the item wasn’t just as long as original part, this can be resolved by twisting the connection attached to door surround which gives a few more millimetres. The connector attaching to door surround can be tight but it will go in and if twisted for more length by being a tight fit this helps keep it in place.
