This control valve worked in my vehicle. It has been installed today 06/13/2024. Will update on long term performance after approximately one year. As of now this family is very thankful for this item and the cost cannot be beat. Thus if I had to buy this item again I would purchase this one or something similar from this vendor.

Found out the hard way after emptying all the freon that the base model doesn't even have this part on the compressor! Wasted money

If your altima compressor runs, but barely cools after start driving, then This part will most likely fix your issue. I did and my ac is now blowing ice cold again. First Evacuate system, replace part, vacuum, then refill freon, that's it. I bought all tools and did this job $150

This is a simple replacement for 2013 Altima 2.5 SL 4DR with the variable control AC compressor (there is a difference based on the trim level Altima you have). The hard part is getting mechanics to think outside of the box or stop gouging your wallet on needless repairs. First shop said all pressures were good and the AC was cold and operating. I called them out on it, then brought their attention to numerous blogs, documents stating replace the control valve not the compressor when everything else checks ok. They couldn't think outside the $1500 replacement charge they wanted. Second shop, "oh we just topped off the refrigerant" here's a bill for $150 and damage to your paint from sloppy mechanics who let the refrigerant go everywhere. Thanks Guarantee Automotive in Austin, TX for your sloppy work, unknowledgeable mechanics and clueless managers. Third shop was agreeable to installing this valve if I bought it, but wanted another $300 in labor. BUT, they agreed to evac the car, let me take it home, had it out and in in less than 15 minutes, and back to the shop for recharge. They filled it back up, no leaks, no issues, and down the road I went with cold AC in 101 degree Austin TX weather in July.It took more time to jack the car up, than install this valve. Needed are snap ring pliers and regular pliers, evac the refrigerant, unplug the wire and remove/reinstall, then recharge the system. Some reviews have had issues with the valve stuck, fortunately I did not and pulled it right out. Nothing on the car was needed to disassemble, compressor sits right in plain site under the passenger side. See pic. Hopefully is lasts as long as the original part.

found video indicating my issue was this not the entire compressor. gave it to the mechanic to swap out. on my car it is easilly accessible underneath. initially it did not seem to work but a check of the cable connection fixed it as the mechanic did not verify good connection. in the end it saved me 800.00full compressor swap.
