This will work well for right or left side eject, with the caveat that you have a minimum of 0.7" of space (preferably 0.75") between the top of your pic rail and the bottom of the scope tube for it to fit. I hadn't considered that and my scope's integral mount doesn't have that much space, so this won't fit my rifle in its current configuration.

This is such a great product, I bought a second one. I use them for PRS competition and general use at the range. The basket position is adjustable to ensure that it catches the shells without interfering with the operation of the gun. It also holds a large number of shells before it needs to be emptied. The mounting piece that goes on the pic rail is very low profile and fits easily under the scope. The quick disconnect is easy to use and manipulate.I reload my own ammo and I was tired of losing cases or having them damaged when they hit the ground. This solved that problem perfectly. While the other shooters are crawling through the deep grass trying to find their rounds, I am on to the next stage or helping them find theirs. In addition, I broke a piece on one of the baskets (my fault) and contacted XAegis via Facebook and they responded immediately and helped me by replacing the broken piece at no charge. Customer service gets a 10!!!I have tried several other brands available on Amazon and returned them to purchase a second XAgeis Catcher.

This brass catcher does a good job of keeping spent brass from disappearing in the grass and dirt on my range. It attaches to my upper receiver rail using the included mount. (I've uploaded a photo of it mounted. You can position it on any available point on your rail to get the correct position on the ejection port.) The catcher then slides onto the mount and locks. (You can move it in and out to get a better distance from the ejection port if needed.) I've uploaded a photo of the underside of the locking mechanism. Overall, I'd say it did a good job and seems to be well made and is light weight. The wire frame on the inside of the bag makes it hold its shape. The bag itself has a zipper on the bottom to allow dumping of the contents. After use, you can leave the block mounted on your rail if you like and store the bag separately.

Mounted on a Rugar PC9 w/o issues, works very well. Solid mount, tools included, easy to install and remove with button press. Zipper to empty w/o removal. Holds fifty cases easily, maybe more that's all I shot. Some issue with mounting under a scope due to limited room. Had to add I/2 inch rails to raise the scope. In the PC9 it easily fits at the front of the rail and you can slide the catcher back and forth to easily adjust. Have tried a couple of other brands and this is the best so far. Concerned about the netting as it is poly or nylon but the hot cases did no damage with my limited range test. UPDATE 2nd one came today and installed on my AR w/o issue looking forward to testing it soon..

If you’re a reloader and you shoot an AR platform, chasing down brass can be a thankless task. The XAegis universal brass catcher attaches to your AR’s picatinny rail. The mesh is reportedly a heat resistant fabric with a zipper on the base of the pouch that allows for quickly dumping expended brass. The kit includes the necessary torx wrenches to tighten the rail attachment to your picatinny rail. Set up is fairly simple: attach the rail attachment piece on your pic rail, tighten the set screw, then slide the brass catcher onto the rail attachment. The brass catcher is easily installed or removed without needing to remove the rail attachment thanks to a quick detach plunger on the brass catcher. You may have to install the rail attachment ahead of an optic. The pouch is adjustable so it is possible to slide the pouch to either the front or rear of the rail attachment piece. To test the mesh for durability, I fired several 30 round magazines thru a 10.5” AR pistol. The mesh did not show any damage from the hot shells (brass and steel cases).XAegis states the pouch will hold up to 100 spent cases, and I found it easily handled 30 cases at a time with no brass bouncing back into the ejection port or throwing off the balance of the AR pistol. As I am planning on reloading for my 300 blackout and possibly a 458 Socom, this brass catcher is exactly what I’ll need to save me the trouble of searching for brass or wondering whose brass I’ve actually collected at the range.Would I recommend this piece of gear? Absolutely!Happy shooting!
