I love my little ladder. Purchased it 10 year ago and still using it. Awesome product when considering reach, portability and storage capabilities. It is fairly lightweight while being sturdy enough to feel safe and solid. It easily fits in my trunk or behind the back seat and does not take much space in the garage. The steps are ribbed (aluminum) for better traction, and there is a padded handle under the bottom step for easy carry. There is also a wrap-around strap to keep the ladder shut while collapsed. The ladder is all aluminum, so rust shouldn’t be an issue. It measures 18.5” W x 27” H x 3.5” D while collapsed. There are rubber feet for better grip on the ground, but I wish the top yellow plastic caps were rubber as well to have a better grip on whatever it is leaning against. While the ladder is great and how it works is quite clever, you do have to be careful when folding it back. There are yellow thumb sliders below each step which are spring-loaded and reveal a green dot when the step above is extended. This signals a safe extend and locking of the step. To collapse the above step back into the ladder, the sliders have to be pushed towards each other (slide inwards) to cover the green dot which is when the top step/s slides down. If not careful, it may come crashing down on your fingers, so keep those fingers away or wrapped around the frame of the ladder. All of these extendable ladders work like that and like other ladders models you have to know how they function and be careful while folding. I can definitely recommend this ladder. Just know what you’re getting, meaning length and max weight load and how to use it. The ladder is super portable and quite handy, I would just like to see the top caps upgraded to rubber. I highly recommend this product.

Simple and sturdy.need to look after. Keep clean and the locking mechanism will work. Avoid leaving outdoor months on end

Anteriormente tenia otra escalera un poco mas delgada, pero no resistia tanto, esta es mas grande, mas pesada, pero mas resistente,

Es un buen producto tengo aproximadamente 2 años que la uso entonces la durabilidad es buena su peso es un poco más pesado que una escalera normal de aluminio y es normal por el tipo de estructura retractil y es para agregarle más resistencia, la preste varias veces y el resultado es que les gusta mucho, y lo mejor es que la puedo transportar en la cajuela del auto

Es un producto que solo es para uso dentro del hogar. Es resistente, pero no para carga pesada.

Muy práctica. Solo se debe tener cuidado al retractar los peldaños ya que caen pesadamente y si sus dedos están en el camino se puede lastimar. Por lo demás estoy muy contento con la escalera.

First, I will note, I purchased this, but returned it today, but ONLY because it was bigger than I anticipated. I opted to order the 10.5 Xtend & Climb, also here on Amazon, so I stuck with the same maker. I have a RV trailer and will use this during our outings.It's packed well and the directions are clear. This 12.5' is weighty at 32 lbs, but a good aspect to it is that it will hold up to 300 lbs. I always error on the side of caution. Better to have the added weight capacity if you're weight is closer to the 225 lb capacity of the smaller Type II Xtend & Climbs. Also, keep in mind, if you plan to carry any weight up it.My friend and I extended it to the full 12.5', fairly easy enough. I found the best way to do this is start with the top rung of course. What I like about this ladder compared to other telescoping ladders is that this ladder; LOCKS AT EACH INDIVIDUAL RUNG. Thus, you have a safety feature that locks the ladder every 12". Extending was easy, and as the green locking levers slid into the locking position, I could hear a distinct "click" as each section locked. If you go the full 12.5', lowering it can be some work, but because the way the retraction works, the fear of smashing your hand goes away.I'm going to get this out of order, but you'll get the gist. When lowering, you start from the bottom. As you unlock the slides on a rung, at times, the rung will full retract, but others, it will only 1/2 retract. This is NOT a defect. It's a safety feature. The next rung that half retracts, won't fully retract, until you retract the rung above it. This is genius as you don't pinch your hand or finger when lowering.This fit in the back seating area of my truck easily and in the bed. There is velcro strap that encompasses the entire rungs when closed, and has a nice soft padded handle under the last rung, right where you would pick it up to carry it.All in all, I'm impressed. My 10.5" arrived today, and I will trial it and leave a review. I recommend this ladder.
