This was a really fun thing to try! It's great for balance and really works every muscle in your legs and core. I started on the tightest setting, the stops closest together, and held on to a chair my first try. It took me a couple of minutes, but I got the hang of it quickly. I also tried it while doing push ups, which is also a great challenge. I purchased an additional soft inflatable wobble cushion to try underneath it and they go great together!The quality of the wood, the roller and the surface has anti-skid, so you won't slide off. I would recommend that if you use this outside, to put a rug under the roller, as the thin black padding will be ruined by small rocks and plant debris.

This book on oghams is a well-read for many different readers: fans of anything celtic, readers of self-help books and students of the ogham system alike. The author is inspired by the trees she loves and her love for the subject is inspiring. She really makes the trees and their living energies alive! The Celtic tree calendar is not traditional but she points out it was invented by Robert Graves. The goal of this book is to get to really see the trees as living creatures and companions, and to look at them and turn to them as helpers and healers.Fifteen of the trees are illustrated, which is really inspiring. This book is my favorite in the self-help genre, and I highly recommend it.

This book describes the Celtic ogham alphabet and places it in context. Although, as a certificated rune caster, I do not accept the additional five elements - they have not relationship to the form of the original twenty fews - I have found this book an excellent addition to my library. It shows the relationship of the ogham to other divinatory alphabets and outlines other aspects such as the animal companions. I highly recommend this book to all who are intereste in the Celts or divinatory artefacts.

Loved the whole book. My knowledge of trees is not too great but this book is certainly informative about how they originate and have been used in history/healing. Reading how the trees have their own Calendar and being given meditations for each tree/month was an interesting way to use the book. I was delighted to learn a little about the Celtic Ogham Alphabet and the Runes too - that was a bonus! The tree drawings were delightful but I really would have like colour photo's of the real thing.

I find this book quite interesting. I got it in time to do a group meditation just before Beltane. All participants enjoyed it. I just need to read a little slower and take more breaks in the meditation. I have always been drawn to the Celtic (wonder if being a Scotswoman has anything to do with it?) and learning more about their traditions. I always thought the Rowan Tree was my tree based on something I read at one time, but according to this book it is the Hawthorne. After reading about it, I find it fits me to a "T". Amazing how so many things tie together - Astrology, Numberolgy, Human Design... There is so much to learn about all of it and this book adds another dimension. I recommend it for the seeker.

Sharlyn's book is beautiful--not only the drawings of the trees, but also the healing, generous sharing of the historical and her personal truths. I love the range of information, from meditations with the spirits of trees to how often to prune them. I start my day with the meditation for the tree appropriate for that month. As a result, each day, I feel a lovely, peaceful grounding, and a strong sense of oneness with the earth. I have purchased this book for friends, who, like me, love trees and gardening and pressing their toes in the earth. They love the book! I want to thank the author for this lovely gift. I'm eagerly awaiting her next publication.
