When you travel outside of the country you really try to take the comforts of home with you. That's the reason I got this. However, I can't give an honest, honest review because I couldn't carry all those batteries on the plane to Africa. Since it takes 4 18V batteries, I wasn't able to use it.

The power Invertor arrived in plain packaging and good condition. The fit and feel is about what you would expect from a non-mainstream brand. The plastics and edge finish are not as quality as a similar Ryobi unit I have.I loaded it up with 4 M18 batteries. I intentionally chose batteries of different capacity and charge levels to see how the unit would react. I was working on a vintage arcade game and did not have power on that side of the shop so I used this unit to power it up. The first thing I noticed was it was very difficult to plug in a US 3 prong cord. There is a little spring loaded blocker plate, that I assume for safety purposes, but it blocked the insertion of the plug. I literally had to take a small screwdriver, insert it part way into the live plug to get the flapper moving out of the way and finally insert the plug. I thought it might be easier on the second try or another cord, but no joy.It powered up the game, including the old school TV tube type monitor and the associated marquee lights. The unit worked well and does what it is supposed to BUT the inability to insert an AC plug without the help of external tools? That is kind of deal breaker for me.Overall, works and does what it says. In reality it is of mediocre quality and very, very difficult to use the AC plug.
