This worked perfectly out of the box on my EOS 7D.The dual stage button focuses the lens and snaps the picture on command and the range sometimes exceeds the advertised 100 metres if you are in a rural setting.Remote flash triggering worked a treat both on and off the camera.Snapped over 300 pictures using this remote for travel and group photos. Batteries seem to be holding up so far but i used energizer lithium batteries so ymmw. It does not have an auto sleep mode to make sure you turn off all your remotes once you are done using them!

This remote is a huge plus because of the batteries it takes. Standard triple A instead of a fat barrel battery that is hard to find. This remote has a lock on it so it won't come loose which is nice. I learned quickly how to use it by going to YouTube and seeing a video on the unit. It was really helpful and saved me a lot of time and mistakes. I highly recommend this remote and a trip to a YouTube video to see how to set it up and make it work.

The cord that came with them . It's like t they forgot to finish making it on one end and completely sealed in plastic..I need it for my Alien bees..I happened to have one from my old triggers that were fine..I just lost one lolBut come on! That's rediculous.. So fyi don't get if you need that cord. Also don't get if you use the channel function that comes on every other pair of triggers I have ever seen.I never use it for what I do but figured I would mention that..I know some people have more complicated set ups.. Have not used heavily or in the field yet.. If there are any other issues I'll let you know..

Unless I missed something in the instructions, these will remain on for as long as they are switched on. I went to retrieve them for a photo shoot and realized one was either never switched off after a previous photo shoot, or was switched on by accident at some point. The battery was completely dead. Since triggers usually do best with non-rechargeable batteries, this could get expensive quickly or create problems on shoots if one forgets to pack extra batteries. Apart from that caveat, they do the job I need them to do, which is to trigger my camera as a separate system from my flash trigger system.

I purchased these triggers in the hopes that I could use them for travle with my flash units, and so far so good. I love them! I have tested them with my Yongnuo EX 565 flashes, some Neewer TT520 flashes, and my in house studio lights (I had to purchase an extra piece to have them fit into my in house lights) and they are flawless. I have been looking for something like this forever and so happy I finally found this! they are all exaclty the same and while one is set to master, the others can be set to slave. I haven't yet tested them for distance, but judging by the previous review, they will work perfectly for all my needs. The only time I have ever had a problem with them not going off is when my flash batteries are dying or dead... not the trigger's fault at all.Great buy... will be getting more of these soon.
