This is a great number of small carabiners, but the overall quality is not sufficient for climbing. These are good for organizing gear or holding low-stakes items, but I would not risk my life with them. They are not of that quality. I am currently using a few to attach gear to my hiking backpack, and I am very happy with them for that application.

These work well, and for the price, you get a decent number.They have two issues, however. The first is the clasp has been machined really sharply. The triangular end you see in the picture could easily puncture skin, if one were not careful. Perhaps they positioned it purposefully so that was harder to do, but that leads to the second problem.The spring is strong enough, and the opening blocky enough, that it is hard to clamp these on to something in a single motion. It takes two hands to stabilize and really push it on.Neither of these are serious design flaws, but they are slightly annoying.Overall, worth the price. But beware of those minor issues.

These carabiner clips are just over 1.5 inches long, exactly as described. The diameter of the rod they are made of is also as specified, nominally M4 (4 mm, or 3/16 inch). The thickest rod that can be pushed through the spring-loaded opening is 1/4" (6.25 mm). The thickest rod that will fit in the smaller end of the carabiner is 13/64" (5.1 mm).The material looks like galvanized steel. It is ferromagnetic (strongly attracted by magnets). The color is neutral to cool silver, but not blueish.These carabiners are good quality for the price. The closing hook is machined precisely, fits very snugly in the opening, and there is little side play, so it closes perfectly every time. Out of 30 pieces in the box, 27 worked perfectly, one needed just a slight nudge to close, and two were broken (no spring action).Bottom line: If you need a larger number of those, for ties, ropes, connections, hanging lanterns and other things, these are a perfectly good value. But if you need just a few that you will be touching, handling and carrying often, for example for keys etc., or for very corrosive applications, you might prefer more luxurious ones made of stainless steel 304 or even 316 for twice the price or more.
