I bought this floor mat, not for yoga or meditation, but for Floor Sitting per Built to Move: The Ten Essential Habits to Help You Move Freely and Live Fully. It has the perfect level of compliant softness to remove the discomfort from sitting directly on a hard floor, but quickly gives way to a firm level of support underneath that you need. The cover is thick and durable and it's the perfect size for sitting in the different recommended positions. It's heavy and doesn't slide around as you change positions.

This meditation mat turned out to be surprisingly great. I was initially a little skeptical about whether it would be comfortable for long sessions, but I decided to take a chance—and I’m so glad I did. It’s both incredibly comfortable and durable. After five months of use, it still feels like it could last for years.P.S. If anyone made mattresses with this same material, I’d buy one immediately—no hesitation!

édit après 6 mois d'utilisation quotidienne : il est au top , j'ai fini par enlever le tissu que j avais mis pour protéger , les chats n y vont plus et un simple coup de brosse permet de le nettoyer , je n'ai même pas encore laver la housse . il est toujours hyper confortable. Un super rapport qualité / prix ! Je n'ai rien de négatif à dire sur ce zabuton indispensable aux méditants débutants . La qualité , les finitions, les dimensions l'épaisseur sont au top !! Je regrette un peu d'avoir pris une couleur claire (rose ) car j'ai des chats qui aiment ce zabuton autant que moi ! alors j'ai mis un tissu à fleur dessus , mais il est entièrement déhoussable donc rien de grave ^^. Les chats et moi on médite sans avoir mal aux pates , merci Basaho !
