This is such a great emergency item to keep in a car! I’m so impressed by how cleverly this has been designed. I’ve never seen anything like it before! It looks like a standard large 28”-high orange reflective traffic cone when standing up, but the entire orange top collapses down into the base so it can be stored in a 13” x 13” square just a few inches high. It takes up so little space in the trunk that there’s really no excuse for anyone not to have one of these in every vehicle – just in case! This traffic cone can be placed behind my vehicle if I’m ever stranded at the side of the road and will let other cars see that there is some kind of emergency and to steer clear of it. There are two reflective strips at the top of the cone that will shine brightly in everyone’s headlights at night so it can’t be missed. It is waterproof and has a weighted base, so it can be used in any kind of weather. Great thing to have.

This cone is available under multiple brand names on Amazon, not all of which are the same price. Comparison-shop as the product is identical. This is a fabric traffic cone that collapses into a rubber base. It takes some effort to expand or collapse, but not undue effort; this is good, it won't collapse under its own weight or from normal use. This makes it much more portable than a 28-inch traffic cone would normally be. Collapsed, it's the size of the black base of a normal cone. That means it's easy to store in a car. For instance, most cars have enough room in the spare-tire compartment for one or two of these cones, making them a good alternative to road flares or warning triangles when you have a break-down.The cones aren't as vivid as a "real" cone, but they're orange enough, and while the reflective material isn't as bright as a real cone or ScotchBright material, it's reasonably reflective. It'll be visible at night in most traffic conditions. A more florescent fabric with better retroreflective material would earn five stars; I'd give these 4.5 stars if I could.I wouldn't recommend these as a replacement for "real" 28-inch traffic cones for commercial road work, or in cases where you expect the cones to take a beating. The fabric and spring material just won't hold up long-term to daily use the way that PVC would. But for occasional use, they're great.Definitely recommended as a safety tool for your car. They're far easier to set up than warning triangles, easier to store, more versatile, and more familiar to other drivers. And unlike consumer-grade road flares, they don't stop working after far too few minutes and pose no fire risk.At $23 before discount, these would be a good value. (This brand was priced higher than identical competitors at the time I wrote this review.)

I ordered this for two reasons: Road Safety and filming sketches. Safety Cones are nice to have if you need to change a flat tire on the road or just need to block a section off for your safety. This safety cone is a decent size compared to regular ones and it has reflective tape on it, making it easier to see at night. The fact that it collapses into a small square is great and easy to keep in your car without taking up too much trunk space (I put it in the spare tire compartment for my corolla). Collapsing it might take a quick second because of how it's layered, you can't push your palm down from the top and expect it to perfectly collapse (I have to use both hands to do it).

Love the fact it's weighted unlike one I had before that kept blowing away in inclement weather.
