Took a little practice to get the hang of using it. Since it's only meant for ice cream, not being able to dish wash wash is not a big deal since hand washing is easy. Doesn't cut ice cream like a hot knife through butter but still cuts much better than a regular scoop in really stiff ice cream. Key part is to warm up the fluids inside the scoop with your hands/warm water and to keep the warmth by covering as much surface with hands and/or grip closer to the scooping part.Oh... The scoop can get really cold when scooping due to the heat transfer design but that's not an issue for me.

There is a weight to the scoop that makes it feel premium. It is also well made and scoops perfect little balls of ice-cream. I don’t know if it does soften the ice-cream since I tend to microwave my ice-cream before scooping.

Bester Eisportionierer den ich je hatte. Die Größe ist perfekt für den Creami. Die Einskugeln lösen sich leicht. Ich reinige ihn manuell mit ein wenig Spüli. Durch die Handreinigung läuft er auch nicht an. Da er aus Aluminium ist sollte er nicht in die Spülmaschine.

This is an excellent small ice-cream scoop that does what it's supposed to do very well. I wouldn't wax lyrical about its ergonomic properties or the liquid it's supposed to contain that is claimed to transfer heat from the handle to the head – very hard ice-cream is still not easy to scoop out – but I doubt there's a scoop that does a better job.

The small size of this is perfect for portion control. The scoops come out in approximately 4cm diameter balls, so quite a bit smaller than what you would get from an ice cream counter. It cuts through hard frozen ice cream really easily, the conductive liquid in the handle really works to warm the scoop.
