Got it and installed it.Light, shorter body, complete hard ware. very simple to install. I tested it to see if turn on and off and if the rope spools in and out. Haven't really used it yet, but will do soon and will update. The Rope had small fray for some reason!! It the frame had a ding two, so could've been a return or God knows from what....Either way dings are dings and I wish it was me who did that but oh well!!The Rope was my issue!! So contacted them , sent a few pix, and in about 3/4 days They sent me a knew rope, I was impressed by the customer service and I appreciate someone who stands behind their product.I will update when I put it to the test soon.

Has most things I purchased based upon a price point this will seem the best price for the value and so I went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought it.Purchased this winch twice now.The first time I purchased it I was quite happy with it it performed well seem to be of adequate quality and it lasted approximately a year before failing.Considering the price point on it, I was still happy with Purchase even after the failure. So I purchased it again.Similar to the same but the remote controls have been changed and were lower quality in fact I don’t think either of the two remote controls provided worked on the second purchase, but just the feel an appearance of it showed that the quality in that piece of the product had certainly been the victim of cost-cutting to reduced production costs. The winch itself failed on first usage. It’s time of failure, it had been a couple months since I had purchased the product, and at the time of the second purchase I had no immediate need for it, but I knew that one would be coming and that is why I purchased it as a replacement to the previously purchased product. Unfortunately within time came but I actually did require that usage of it and it failed the window for a quick and easy return had passed and I never pursued asking for a replacement.I stay to the beginning which may be of lower quality first time I purchased it the price point allowed the winch’s value to exceed the cost, to me anyways. On second picture of it and it subsequent failure on its first time use, this is not the case and it’s cost for exceed that if its value to me and why I have not replaced it with a third one.It may have been a fluke and the product may still have value that exceeds its cost, I may have just been unfortunate on the second purchase. Or may I was just lucky on the first purchase. The more likely explanation In my opinion is that the quality itself has lowered with his product in an attempt to reduce production costs and increase profits. But I purchased one that worked good and one that was bad, I therefore rate the product at three stars to take into account both experiences and all factors.Respectfully submitted,Thomas Fidler

The mounting system is a bad joke. The provided square nuts that go inside the aluminum mounting ears have tons of play. So much that I wondered if they would gall and spin in the aluminum while being torqued. Well, I didn't even get that far because one of the bolts stripped inside the nut with barely any torque applied. I deal with useless Chinese auto parts all the time, but I've never seen a bolt strip so easily under so little torque. The combination of square nuts with tons of play inside weak looking cast aluminum ears makes me wonder if the ears might fracture under heavy load. After reading the reviews about bad QC in the solenoid box, I'm returning and just going to take my chances with a manual come-along if my vehicle gets stuck.

So much value - more kit than just winch. You get the winch, synthetic cable, wired remote and wireless remote, AND a nice cover! The winch works as advertised and the price is incredible. I would still prefer a US-made Warn or a Ramsey, but if you are forced to buy a Chinese-made winch (basically ALL others), this is a good choice for your trail rig.Edit: After a great test - Pulled a 1-ton Dodge Cummins 4x4 pulling another Cherokee loaded on a 27-foot gooseneck trailer out of deep mixed mud and snow. Right at the max rating and the winch did not even heat up on a full line pull. Very impressive.

Of course time will tell if this winch will have been a good choice. I'm not exactly a fan of how the rope attaches to the spool, but I can avoid that issue by using more straps if I need length. The winch was super easy to put together and install. Everything works as it should. I actually laugh at some of the questions that were asked on this product ad. The wireless remote does not need to be programed folks. My only complaint up to this point is that the rubber piece that covers the input for the wired remote does not stay closed and frequently pops open, exposing the plug prongs to the elements. With this plug sitting on top of the winch it seems like you would want a more quality piece of something there to make sure that stays closed, especially since this winch wires directly to the battery. We don't want water to collect and pool inside of there during a carwash or rainy day.
