I was initially going to use it for a hide for my curly hair tarantula sling but I also have an Avic sling on the way and I’ve decided to use it for its enclosure instead since it’s more tree shaped and also has a really cool hole on one end that I’m sure the sling will web in. I’ve ordered two more to see what surprise I get out of these.

First the good: My isopods LOVE this cork wood! The bend in the wood gives them a nice, dark, cool place to hide and they instantly started congregating beneath it. So far the wood has stayed pretty dry, even on the 'wet' side of the terrarium, and they prefer it far more than the original hardwood hide I had for them.The neutral: I got this when it was on sale for $1.60 roughly. It's a great value to get it then, but I would not pay the current $4 or the insane nearly $7 original price per piece. These are worth about $2 at most.The bad: My only complaint is that I ordered two pieces (one for wet side, one for dry) and one of them was half the size of the other. I know cutting a raw material means it won't be perfectly balanced, but it was a dramatic difference.

for the price and for a large enclosure it's not worth it tbh but for a small enclosure it's good

I have bought this product as several times and I am always pleased with it. These are natural cork pieces and since it is natural the pieces are different weight, size, ect. I weighed all 4 pieces I got this time and they vary from 30g-63g.I buy these for my pet Arthropods and they always arrive pest& mold free. My isopods love them!These are generic pieces that get the job done and some look much cooler than others but if I want a 'show piece' for a tank, I buy at a specialty shop.So spend the money and buy 2 pieces to increase your chance of getting one you like.
