Worked perfectly, even though the site recommends using the dealer or locksmith in Canada. The key I got for $100 done by a locksmith stopped working in two weeks. This continues to work fine! After I got my key replaced by the locksmith, I figured there was nothing to lose testing it out for $20.

Bought this to replace the fob on a 2015 Chevy Equinox. Was a little unsure how something so inexpensive was going to look and feel, compared to the factory fob, but I have to say, the only difference in look and feel was the missing "bowtie" on the back! Feels to be the same weight, and other than just a little difference in the button graphics/ink, an identical fob. Read the other reviews and removed the cut key from the broken fob, and installed it into the new, unprogrammed fob. Didn't even have to take the fobs apart to swap out motherboards, because the programming of the new one was a simple as inserting the old one to the "on" position in ignition, turning off and removing, inserting new unprogrammed one to the "on" position, then removing. Immediately was able to lock/unlock doors and start engine with new fob. Could not be more pleased with this purchase. Probably saved $300 by not going to the dealer and definitely saved $90 by not having to have the key cut and fob programmed at my local locksmith.

Thanks to a few reviews on here, I was able to gut my old fob and replace the new blank key with my original key! The effort was worth it, it works great. The buttons are stiff, but they work regardless. Saved hundreds of dollars

Bought this because my 2010 Camaro key fob buttons caved in and became unusable. First off, the battery that came with this had no charge so you will want to use the old key fob battery for testing purposes, trust me it will save you frustration thinking you messed something up. Second, this does an average job as a replacement shell. The plastic seams do not fit together tight and the key itself will not open or close perfectly either, but it is a very cheap work around if you're looking to save money. Third and probably most importantly in terms of saving money, you don't need to have someone engrave a key nor do you need Chevy to program anything. Simply take this shell apart, take your old key fob shell apart and replace the uncut key with your already used cut key and replace new key chip (unprogrammed one) with old key chip (already programmed one). Easy swap, saved me about $160 total and took 30 minutes to figure out / assemble.
