I'm extremely happy with this product. I'm using it with a 20 gallon breeder tank. It's adequately bright and the function button is easy to use. The black casing matches my tank trim and looks great. My plants have been growing well since I added the light. The price on this was great too.

Not as bright as I require. Kinda annoying how it cannot be set. Each time inturn it on it's a low setting. One button to click to cycle through the settings is annoying. Simple though. Haven't used it on a timer yet. No internal timer so it's a basic lighting option. It arrived faster than the light I bought for this tank so this will become a back-up plan if that light fails in time. For the price it's okay. It is what it is. Will I buy another one, probably not.Do I regret buying it,no.On deeper larger tanks it's not going to be adequate lifting for any but the easiest to grow plants. Duck weed should love it as well as any floater. It runs cooler than my Hygger lights but it's half the output too. On a ten and a half inch Nano deep this isn't really enough light for what I'm growing. But it's better than nothing! Frogbit likes it but it's thirty milimetres from the LED's so ...LoL not exactly a good benchmark.I may use this with external timer on a shallow ten gallon for Betta fish and low tech low light plants. For a shallow nano tank I feel this would be adequate and better than many Nano tank lighting options on the market. As for the light itself ,beyond output...it's well made and for and. Finish is indeed good. All the LED's working and power switch while cheap feeling in hand is indeed operational as per manual. It came with instructions but really I already lost them and don't much care. It's one button. Press it once the light turns on press it again the light turns off. Press it once then again and again and again and it'll cycle through the settings rapidly to get to the one you choose. It's getting replaced by a Hygger with 24hr timer and dimmable with backlit LED screen and multiple input buttons. At double the price that's my go to inexpensive led aquarium plants growth light of choice. But really, this aqqua light is exactly what they advertise it is. You get your money's worth and it's nicely designed and built. The legs are actually heavier and thicker than the Hygger lights are. Nothing chintzy or cheap about this light except that that's exactly what it is. A budget friendly low options basic led aquarium plants growth light. Thirty years ago I'd have been thrilled to pieces with one of these! They'd have sold millions at four times the cost or more. But today it's a bit too basic for convenience and options sake. Yes I'm perhaps spoiled a little. I expect more from today's electronics than is truly basically required.Dimmable with more setting levels would be more useful. Better user interface would be nice, this feel cheap 1970's kids toys kinda level of button and control box. If you're making something in plastic today with the environmental impact understanding we have now you SHOULD be making something that will last and has a long lifespan so as not to polite the planet with more plastic junk. The controller does feel junky and I suspect will be the weakest component if not the LED's. Cheap LEDs have a shorter lifespan. That's their very nature and manufacturing them with low quality control levels makes them inexpensive to create. So they tend to fail earlier than they might last naturally. It's a cheap light good for a kids tank but I'll be investing a bit more money for a better option. Like I said this will work for what it is. Not ideal by far but cheap and well made aside from the controller.Recommend it...maybe. for a cheap light sure it does the job.On a budget, save a bit up and buy a better light with more features and more dimming settings. For an emergency back-up light while you wait for your full time light to arrive...yeah it'll keep plants alive for a week or so. Nano tanks shallow...yeah adequate and probably bright enough to flourish the easy to grow options. It is bright enough to give that pleasant scattered dancing light into the room at night as the waters surface moves. The colour spectrum is seemingly good. But as the LED's are so far spaced apart the tank has patchy lighting. This area green this blue this white this red...as the fish swim through or plants float by they change colours to whatever led they pass beneath. Closer spacing more compact array design would improve this for nano tanks. THAT would make a.nice little budget light. If it had a better controller and dimming options.👍It's okay. Not good not bad. I'll.give it four stars for being exactly as they represented it to be. But they can do better with the controller so one less than perfect rating.

I almost returned this light thinking it had broke and only 2 of the led strips weren't working. Oops! Nope, just turns out it has 3 settings and you toggle between them by pressing the red on/off button. Works great on my 5 gallon hospital tank, plants are doing well.

This light was easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to put on a schedule (using a smart plug and Alexa). I’ve had it on a planted 5 gallon with good success.I especially loved that it had three colour modes! The outer two strips of LEDs are white, and the inner two are a colour mix. The settings have all four strips on (my default), just the inner (I used in evening), and just the outer (a plain white I never used).Unfortunately just under 6 months into its life the middle two LED strips have suddenly quit. I assume it’s an internal circuitry/connection issue, as there’s no way the LEDs themselves hold have burnt out in that time. The outer two strips still work fine, but that means the three light settings are now plain white, off, and plain white. This is a bummer for me as it now means the two light settings I actually used are gone!If I was absolutely certain this was a one-off manufacturing defect I might buy the light again, as until now it’s worked very well especially for the price.EDIT: it looks like this is actually a relatively common issue with this light, based on reviews. A lot of people have had it die in the same way 4-6 months after first use. Based on that I’m gonna lower my rating.

Me gustó mucho el producto, superó mis expectativas.El problema...En menos de un mes dejaron de funcionar los leds de color, al leer otras reseñas veo que es un problema común, recomiendo considerarlo si desean comprarla.

The light on my fluval flex fish tank died on me and I have live plants so it was kind of an urgent matter and I do not have the money to pay a $100+ for a new light after all I don't really know what part broke happy the new light arrived so fast and the lighting 3 options are nice but wish you could change the brightness but it's OK for a cheap aquarium light to save your plants
