I am a big fan of the Asus User Interface via Phone app / Logging into the Router to setup and control access: super easy. The Aura Sync color on the exterior of the GT6 is interesting and I don't mind it: i use it as a night light for the hallway where the main router is location. Setup for main and nodes took about 15 minutes and I was up and running connecting all the devices. I'm using the 5GHz-2 as the wireless backhaul, and I have a two story 2200 sqft townhome, where the main router is upstairs and the node is downstairs and on the opposite side of the house. I get consistent wifi speeds for all my devices, and those devices that are hardwired to the main are operating at the maximum speeds possible. Once the firmware was updated, my network is very stable and reliable. I upgraded from an 3x ASUS AC88U mesh network to this 2 pack, and it's been good so far. I would recommend this item.

Expanded our WiFi and made my wired connection even better for gaming and media. Fantastic system.

Added these to an existing Asus router as a my speeds jumped from 300mbps to around 1100. For some reason my previous asus router didn't play nice with my internet providers modem, but once I added the two, my speed and range tripled. Looks great too.

I have worked in IT for about 31 years. Because I work for an excellent company I am able to work from home where I am the caregiver for my 84 year old mother. I can NOT afford to be down, I have gigabit service (Fiber) into my home. My original (2 set, different models) Orbi RBK752P went belly up after a power outage (even though they are on battery backups w/Surge Protection), got sick of factory resetting these things trying to get it working again (second model this happened to me). So I then tried a LinkSys Velop Micro 6 Mesh 2-node system, while it worked well, the admin UI is horrible (I did keep the LinkSys for backup). So I tried Asus XT9 2-node mesh, did NOT like them, just could not get them to perform to my satisifaction. Finally landed on Asus GT6. So happy, everything works, every single setting that I have used to configure optimal WIFI and hard wired port connections works perfectly. Look if you are doing mesh with an area up to 5800 sq ft, this is the one you get, pay the money you will NOT regret it. One last rant, we see all these so-called professional reviews on this type of hardware and others and yet they NEVER discuss support behind the product. Netgear support is the worst, unless you pay after the 90 day support warranty then I am still not impressed. Linksys support, suspect but better. Asus support by far is the best of the (3) and this is coming from someone that deals with software support vendors every single week. I HIGHLY recommend the GT6, give them a try if you want a mesh system that is highly configurable with accurate data.

I enjoy the product. It performs as expected as it pertains to signal enhancement/output to provide solid to excellent signal strength where it would typically be weak or non-existent. Only negative is it can be complicated to manage, especially if you aren’t particularly tech savvy. This makes troubleshooting somewhat time consuming when issues do arise because there isn’t anything in the ASUS app (used to manage the device(s) ) that alerts you to an issue with the primary router or “nodes” that I’ve found so you have to go in and look at each to see if an issue can be found then work backwards from there.Example: I just had an issue where a node completely lost signal from the primary router. After a few YouTube videos, I was able to get mine going but it was a time suck getting there initially. They do have customer support where a ticket can be made for service but I didn’t go that route as I was in a hurry to resolve quickly and thought that would just drag the issue out.If you’re a tech savvy gamer , this product is fantastic. For general use by those with basic tech skills or less, this probably isn’t for you.
