Does work for grounding and does fit through window screen and window without compromisingclosing seal. Long wiring which is very handy for bedroom use and long enough groundingrod. Very well made, highly recommend and ty!

I had a grounding pad that I felt wasn't working with the outlet. But when I got this rod, I was able to connect it to the grounding pad and I could feel the energy coming through. I feel like it's better when the rod actually connects to the earth. It's cold right now, so i could feel the cold coming through the pad so that's an extra thing to know that it is working. I also bought a more expensive grounding sleep mat and this rod connects to it as well! I don't know why I don't like the grounding energy from an outlet. I prefer the real earth. I guess it's the same thing. But it definitely can only be used if you have access to dirt outside.

These are really nice grounding rods and come with an instruction booklet which is really nice. The only issue I had was that I did not understand how these connect to mats. The part that connects to the rod looks exactly like the one that is supposed to go to the mat and it is not the same.
