This pad is an improvement over the original pads that came with my sander 20 years ago as the 3 alignment holes in the middle aren't going to move with extended use. At least I hope not. We will see. But if you don't align the 3 tabs correctly the pad will spin off during use.

Needed a replacement backing pad for my Hitachi orbital sander and was having no luck. Probably as it was quite old. However, bought the Bosch RS032-8 as the measurements matched and couldn't be happier. Perfect fit!

I bought another brand and it was uneven and the sander wobbled everywhere. I purchased this right away and this works perfectly. A very smooth and soft pad. Dust collection seemed better with this pad. I definitely recommend over off brand replacement parts. Sander is over 20 years old and this is the first time I have had to replace anything.

I am constantly surprised how well Amazon works. This part, has been broken on my Bosch sander for years. I remember spending time at multiple home "depots", trying to find the part, get it ordered, but never being able to pin it down. Costs of replacement, were also prohibitive. During a shed session a week ago, I pulled the model number again, logged into Amazon, and had the part in 2 days for $20.00. Fits, works, and the Bosch is a working tool again. So glad I didn't just toss it, as it wasn't worth the fix.Technology, is saving us money, and saving tools from landfills.. Thanks again.
