I purchased this set to install on a Rad Power Radmission1. The bike came with cable disc brakes with 180mm rotors and the proper adapters so these calipers bolted right to the stock locations without needing other parts. I had to shorten the hoses, so I ordered a BH-90 barb and olive kit since the stock hoses had the barbs pre-installed. I also ordered an inexpensive bleed kit with a wide range of adapters and 3x bottles of mineral oil. Lots of videos on YT for this process and also know I did not need a special tool to press in the barbs. A firm grip on the hose and even pressure against a hard surface made quick work of installing them. Easy peasy! The semi-metallic pads are quiet and after bedding them in they provide great feel and modulation and exceptional stopping power that far exceeds the stock Tektro cable disc calipers with resin pads.I have just one minor criticism and that is the quality of the bleed screw on the lever. It's a small 3mm torx head screw that can strip easily. I recognized this and avoided an issue, but be aware. You will need to bleed if you shorten the hoses. It's a little messy as the kit I bought didn't seal tight enough, but did the job just the same.Time will tell how well they hold up, but initial impressions are very positive at this price point. I ride on mostly flat terrain of mixed street and hard-pack/gravel, but there are a few very steep hills I fly down and now I don't have to second guess my stopping power when I reach the bottom. I also have confidence I can stop to avoid hitting the random mobile phone zombies on the trails.

This kit is part of a 2-part upgrade to my e-bike's braking system. My e-bike came with hydraulic brakes, but they're 2-piston hydraulic brakes, so the first stage of my brake upgrade is this 4 piston brake kit.The second part of my brake system upgrade is to upgrade the brake rotors from the stock 180mm units to 203mm units. I have the first rotor on the way now, a Shimano XTR RTMT905. I will likely put the Shimano XT SM-RT86 on the rear.Combined with the Shimano XTR and XT brake rotors front and back, this BUCKLOS 4 piston brake kit should be the equivalent of dropping an anchor when I need to stop. The overall quality of the kit is fantastic, and I'm especially impressed with how compact the brake levers AND the calipers are.The instructions are...well, let's just say, YouTube is a better source of information. It would be a great idea of BUCKLOS hammered out a much better set of English instructions. They give you a rough idea of what's going on, which is better than some I've used. But they could definitely be better. The one thing the kit is missing is a set of brackets that support 200/203 mm rotors. In fact, it doesn't even support 180mm rotors front and back, only front. People buy a 4-piston brake kit because they're after LOTS of braking performance. It therefore stands to reason that a lot of the people that buy this kit are going to be like me, running 203mm rotors, or, at the very least, 180mm front and back. The included brackets might be ok for a lower-budget 2-piston kit, but I'd really like to see brackets included with the kit that support 180mm-203mm rotors front AND back. As it stands, I have to replace both brackets with ones for larger rotors, which is an added expense that would honestly make sense to be included with this kit. It IS a 4-piston kit, after all. So if you're like me and running big rotors with this kit, know that you'll have to replace at LEAST one of the brackets, possibly both. The summary is, I DO recommend this kit. The overall quality, as I said, is top notch, and 4-piston brake performance can't be disputed. The instructions are a bit rough, however, and most of you are going to have to order brackets for larger rotors (sold right here on Amazon!) if you run them. And, of course, some quality rotors are also necessary, also sold right here on Amazon. 4 stars. Including brackets for larger rotors as standard equipment would make it 5.
