Fits my Poulan Pro riding lawn mower. Not a bad install. Just had to get some rusted stuck bolts out and replaced.

I replaced the one on the mower due to someone installing the blade incorrectly. The incorrect install ruined the star-shaped drive on the bottom of the spindle where the blade attaches. The bearing on the old part was still good and I would have reused if the star shape hadn't been mashed. Also I used an air impact to draw the bolts out (not realizing they were self tapped in there) I broke one and probably damaged the threads on the other two. Not sure, but if did it on a part I wanted to preserve, I would be very carful working them back and forth and easing them out.This new one arrived the next day prime. I unboxed it and fitted it to the mower deck. It came with the self tapping bolts. (Which I was worried about.) It also came with a new pulley which was a bonus as mine was looking a bit worn. The install was easy. I would not recommend using an impact gun to install the self tapping bolts, but rather a hand ratchet to "feel" the nice straight travel of the bolt into the hole. I would think it could be risky to just fire them in with an impact and possibly crack the housing. I gave it four stars because I don't know the longevity of the bearings. But I am confident they will last as the rest of the component seems well made, and fits perfectly.

I purchased the Antanker Spindle Assembly for a Craftsman 42" riding mower. I purchased the mandrel-pulley assembly as I needed a new spindle and pulley. I ordered by matching the part numbers of my items with the "replaces" part numbers in the ad. After I ordered the part, I was reading some Q&A's about the product. One question ask if this product had a 6 point star for cutting blade application. Answer: "Yes". I became concerned as I needed a "5" point star to fit my blades. I looked at the ad again and it showed an image of a 6-point star. I became confused by the inconsistency between the (a) matching part numbers, (b) the image shown, and (c) the Q&A. A mandrel assembly with a 5 point star was delivered to me.I rated "Overall Rating" as a 4 because of the inconsistency between advertising, Q&A, and the actual product delivered.I rated "Easy to install" as a 5 because I've been a machinery repairman for over 50 years (easy for me).I rated "Value for money" as a 5 because this item was exactly what I needed, no extra items I don't need.I rated "Durability" as a 3 because I honestly don't know how durable it will be. It has OEM appearance.UPDATE: 9 Sept.,2021: I ordered a second unit. Both are 5-point stars and both units work very well.
