The buckle did not fit together! I returned it for a replacement but the replacement had the same defect. The male end of the aluminum buckle is about 40 thousands too large in multiple directions. I was able to file it down to fit but it took about 30 minutes. The seat is very well made and was only $15 so I chose to fix it. The image of the male end of the buckle is after reshaping and touched up with paint.

I really like the design of this seat. The belt is easily adjustable and the metal buckle is sturdy and easy to operate. The metal hooks on the sides provide a positive way to keep the seat in the up (folded) position, but I don't know how easy they will be to operate when outfitted with my hunting pack, etc. We will see. The cover is very sturdy material and appears that it will be durable and long-lasting. The camo pattern is nice. The only drawback is that the "cushion" in this seat is very stiff and somewhat hard. I suppose it is better than sitting on a tree stand grate, but I am not sure how comfortable it will be over the long haul (I usually sit on stand for at least 4-5 hours at a time). Overall I like the design and think that this will be a much better option than carrying a seat with me, keeping my hands free while walking. I am anxious to see how it will be comfort-wise. If it's bad, I will update this review.

I am an outdoorsman and hunter so when I saw this, I really wanted to give it a try. There are so many times when I am out hunting or just exploring with the camera that I come across a spot I want to watch for a while and have to sit on the wet ground. This will help for those and other situations, especially if you are hunting an area that you don't want to put a permanent blind or stand. It's fairly comfortable to wear once you snug up the belt however, I am having some issues with the clip because it's very stiff and doesn't fit really well. If I can't get this buckle to work better, I will have to come back and update my review. Beyond that, the seat part stays up with clips and they work fine and are easy to release. When you sit down you get a flat and relatively back and bottom surface however it is very firm. It's sort of like sitting on a board but it's not, so just keep that in mind. When you are using something like this you probably are only sitting in a spot for relatively short periods of time and that is about as long as you will want to sit on this at a time. So hopefully I can figure the clip out but combining that with the extremely firm seat, I am deciding to go with three out of five stars.

This is a quality portable seat. The belt and buckle are strong and looks something you'd get in military equipment. It kind of screams, quality. The seat cushion all around is firm. It has a nice rectangle backrest that is solid and firm. You won't have to worry about a tree digging into your back. The seat cushion is equally firm. This could get old after hours of sitting. But, It's way better than sitting on cold wet ground or having a rock under your rear. I plan to also use this in my platform tree stand. This is where I have a little concern. The metal buckles could make some noise if I'm not careful. None the less, I'm looking forward to using this in the field.
