From my point of view this deep fryer is hazardous to health. Because the heating element is made with iron and at particular temperature the iron get expanded or melted. (Iron cause one disease in Marathi language it called Dhanurvat). I think copper is best for heating element but it is costly for pocket. People like me who are health cautious will use Castle iron, steel or copper utensil to deep fry my food. Or save money to buy the product which used copper for heating element. Thanks

I bought and wanted this size as we’re a 2 person home. I wanted something that would reach a high temp without being too big (and easy to clean without making it too much of a chore to use.)This is perfect. Cooks everything nicely and has a surprising amount of room for a smaller deep fryer . Would highly recommend

It works pretty well. One of the handles came damaged. I decided to try to get a replacement handle from Conair (the company that owns Cuisinart). The initial reply from them took a very long time, and they couldn't just send a handle. They sent me a replacement deep fryer but it wasn't even the same model - it was the one below this one. They sent another one and again, it was the wrong model. I told them to forget it and just sent their replacement units back.Other than the warped handle (which doesn't affect functionality), it is the size I wanted and the temperature control seems to be pretty accurate. It disassembles enough to be easy to clean.
