Bored through drywall, foam insulation, concrete block and stucco in 15 minutes with this 3-inch dry core drill bit. To prevent the bit from skipping along the drywall, I drilled a series of holes in the shape of circle through the sheetrock. The bit was held in place by the drywall and did not skip or slide while starting to drill through the concrete block. I used a Ryobi battery-powered hammer drill, but did not use the hammer drill function. Just used the Ryobi as a drill and core drilled a 3 inch hole through my garage for a mini-split I am installing. The core bit did not bind during the boring process, just kept cutting the concrete block and stucco through with ease. I would not hesitate to purchase this dry core bit again, if needed. Shipping it off to my brother who is a HVAC contractor. I am sure he will be able to put it to additional use when doing installs for customers.

Used for a 3 inch core through brick. Went through like butter. I first put up a piece of plywood with a 3 inch hole (used a wood cutting hole saw for that) to guide the core bit, since I didn't have a pilot bit. That worked to get the core started.

Did the job ok but you could sell with it a some sort of jig to set the bit in to keep the bit from moving around when you first start to drill. And it says "No need for water" but it works 75% better with a little water.
