This concave slide works great with a standard guitar setup. I really don't want to mess around setting up a guitar specifically for slide. The concave makes it easy to slide on whatever string or strings you want even with really low action. I tossed it to a buddy and he agreed. Kinda genius and obvious at the same time.

My style of slide involves using three octaves in unison at times and full cords at certain times on a normal radius necked Martin guitar. I have tried countless slides. This is the only one I have found that lets me do what I want to do with minimal pressure. It is like a dream. Suddenly I am a good slide player with minimal buzz-outs. It really is like a dream for me. If anyone needs a bunch of slides of every kind, I will give them away. This one is all I need. I ordered two more in case I lose one. I usually Cary multiples of my glass slides for breakage. This one will never break even if I accidentally hit it with a hammer. Absolutely love it. HalleluYAH. My search is over.

Brilliant piece of kit. Arthritis robbed me of normal guitar playing, but this fixed the problem.Slim hole, 20mm internal diameter, so for most people will only fit the pinky. Too tight for arthritic knuckle on my pinky, but being brass, easy to ream out.Previous attempts at slide guitar using a non-curved slide failed. This does the trick.The Martin no longer hangs on the wall unused!

Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide, Heavy Wall Thickness MediumGuitar slides are metal tubes that slide across the strings, producing notes without depressing strings against the metal frets. Slides produce a clear ringing tone that is distinctive, and allow you to play notes between frets and glide smoothly from one pitch to another (glissando). Most guitar slides are flat, but if your guitar neck, frets, and/or bridge are radiused (curved), you will find that curved slides will help you hit all strings without buzzing or clanking down on the frets. If you want to slide and play multiple strings or chords, you probably need one of these slides. The weight of the brass helps provide sure slide action and a positive ringing tone.I compared three curved slides, the Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide, Heavy Wall Thickness Medium, the Dunlop 232 Harris Slide Large, and the Dunlop 285 Preachin Pipe Large. I used Fender Telecasters American and MIM, a Martin 00-15M acoustic, and a 1970 Lotus F215 acoustic, strung with Dunlop extra-light strings, for comparisons.DESCRIPTION: The Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide, Heavy Wall Thickness Medium is made of heavy polished brass that is concave on both ends. According to Dunlop, it fits ring size 9, is 65 mm long, and 3 mm thick. Its medium diameter fits all of my little finger, and down to the knuckle on my ring finger.COMPARISON: The Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium, is longer than the Dunlop 232 Harris Slide Large and the Dunlop 285 Preachin Pipe Large. Of the three, the Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium is the only slide that is concave on both ends, and it fit my guitar necks better than the other two slides which are flared on only one end. There was less string buzzing or fret noise when using this slide compared with the others. This slide was too small to feel comfortable on my large, long fingers. The Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium was the most expensive of the three slides when I bought it.SOUND: The heavy brass of the Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium gave a good tone, better than many of the thinner, lighter straight slides I have used. Because the Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium was longer and flared on both ends, it seldom produced string buzzing and rarely missed contacting strings in a chord.OVERALL: The Dunlop 227 Concave Brass Slide Medium is a good workhorse, particularly if you have thinner fingers. It has a shorter learning curve, because it is curved to fit all the strings. You will like the tone.HELPFUL HINTS: If you are undecided, take a look at the nut, the frets, and the bridge on your guitar to see if they are radiused (curved). Look at your fingers and decide if you play light or heavy on the strings. Then try one of these slides and rely on your ear. It will tell you what sound you want.Enjoy playing.

Prefiero el q viene en acabando no brillante peroeste tiene buen timbre y buen peso,ideal para tocar con dobro, mucho mejor q el de vidrio
