I am using it for a small paperback and works fairly well. I have arthritic hand so this help me so much. It made of plastic so I am not sure how long this will be working but so far so good. It would have been better it were made of harder material than the plastic.

An ingenious tool, the FlipKlip ideally solves the issue that every reader of a physical book faces: How to keep the damn book open to the page you’re on and—most important of all—keep the page in place. A gust of breeze or a fan’s burst of air or a blowing A/C vent can knock a page over. Or, as I needed, a physical book not held in place is useless on a treadmill. The FlipKlip fixes these issues, with its snapping mechanism keeping the open pages firmly in place. I just used the FlipKlip on a 639-page book (Mircea Cartarescu’s amazing novel, SOLENOID) with no problem. Some readers might object to how tight the FlipKlip holds down pages, how (in order to turn a page) you have to pull the right-side page down off the right clip and then lift the left clip to finish turning the page. I found this action was just a matter of adjusting to a new way of turning pages: It made the act somehow more deliberate, more of a ritual. It even made you more aware that you were turning a page and making progress, making you more conscious that you were in the ACT of reading. FlipKlip makes reading easier on one hand, but also more physical on the other. A genius invention.

Bought this originally so I could eat or drink while reading without having to keep changing hands and because my hands are weaker now due to arthritis. I am a confirmed book lover, because having the actual book in my hands adds to my enjoyment. I do read ebooks, but there is just something more special and satisfying about a real book and it would cost a fortune to replace all my books with ebooks.This device became essential after I broke my right shoulder several months ago. Surgery was not a good idea because of my brittle bones, so I had a special sling apparatus that held my shoulder at the correct angle (was kinda like having a full shoulder bag strapped between my body and arm) and it couldn't be removed at all for two weeks and for another two weeks, I could only remove it briefly to shower and change. Even after I could stop wearing that sling, I still couldn't use that arm or hand much. Even now, 6 months after my fall, I have to be careful and not strain the muscles.Reading has always been my way of saving my sanity and coping with stress and I really needed that help with all the pain, restrictions, the month I spent in a rehabilitation center, and just coping with the whirlwind of the last few months. This book page holder was what kept me being able to read even when I only had use of my left hand (I am right-handed, so using my left arm/hand was awkward). It's amazing how something so small and seemingly insignificant can become so helpful and important in stressful times. So grateful for this invention!

Overall, I like this book page holder. It is plastic so I am concern about its useful life. But so far it works well. I like to read in the outdoors and using one of the book page holders does a great job of keep the page in place and turning to the next page is easy. I also use two book page holders when I am studying, one on the top and one at the bottom. This not only keeps the page flat but lets me highlight, underline, and put notes on the pages I am reading, without my arms creasing the books pages. I have only used them for a couple months and they are perfect for what I am doing. Like I mentioned earlier my only concern is that I wish the material was stronger such as aluminum and such, instead of plastic. But so far so good.
