Diecast hoops are a big investment, but what a great one. I added these to my brass shell snare drum. The sound is noticeably more focused and dry.

Consiglio per quei rullanti con troppe armoniche da smorzare. Su un ottimo rullante e con buona pelle ed accordatura, a mio gusto, è un prodotto non fondamentale che ne smorza troppo il suono.

I bought this to replace the diecast hoop on my 60's Gretsch snare. The original hoop eats through sticks when I do rim work. This hoop is less sharp and sits at a perfect level with the head so I don't have to dig into the rim as much.

My tomtom Sounds so much better now than it did with the POS hoop.
