I first bought this circuit breaker identifier in May 2020 (for $30) and only needed it for five minutes, but it did the job perfectly! I was able to quickly identify the proper circuits when the identifier loudly beeped and the arrow lit up accordingly. I eventually put a rubber band over the switch to prevent the occasional accidental on as otherwise my closet would randomly start beeping. Quick at doing the job while being touchy, the “Hi-Tech HTP-6 Digital Circuit Breaker Identifier” gets a serviceable 3/5 stars!

This circuit breaker tracer works quite well and rivals some of the more expensive units. My only complaint is the on/off switch is not protected in any way and it turns on all the time. I can not put this item in a tool box as shifting tools turn the traces on all the time. One slight touch and it is on but you have to hold 3 seconds to turn off. I would like better if this was reversed and you had to hold 3 sec to turn on. That would eliminate most false turn-ons

Bought this for a new home to trace down the proper breakers for some outdoor lights. I also purchased the Klein Tools accessory kit, as I knew I'd need the bare wire clips for the former light (the screw-in plug didn't work due to tight fit).You do have to RTFM and follow the instructions for the calibration step, but once done, it was dead on (and I wasn't), with no false positives - I double-checked.
