I was excited to get these. They came not long ago. I needed them to be adjustable. These aren't worth a penny. The way that they adjust, actually makes them NOT customizable at all of you cabinet is not the exact width that the holes are at, it won't work. The one hole is not wide enough. The next hole is too big. They should have made them with a knob to twist too the width that you want them to be. These aren't customizable. You need to fit to THEIR measurements, not what you actually need.

My sister wanted to organize her closest, and these adjustable shelves did the trick. She likes them as they allow her to appear to make use of the spaces to separate things in her closet.(Disclaimer: I received this product for free from Amazon Vine program. However, my life philosophy is to always provide honest and accurate reviews. As such, this review will be written the same regardless if I had paid for this product.)

The instructions, which were crumbled to the side within the box, were clear with good photos. I thought this would be simple enough due to the clever design of the shelf. However, as I worked to install the shelf, parts were looser than I thought and I had to make several adjustments to get the shelf to stay in place. It certainly took more than 30 seconds. My husband had similar problems. He also commented that with the thin walls of our steel lockers, he would not trust the shelves to hold much weight. The walls of the lockers bow out too easily as the shelf applies pressure with the rubber feet. In our lockers I would not expect the shelves to hold more than 10 lbs.The outer shipping box was damaged. Fortunately the manufacturer of the shelves did a good job with their box and packaging so the inner box and shelves were undamaged.

Review for 2-Pack Metal Adjustable Locker Shelf | Heavy Duty Powder-Coated Steel Locker Organizer for School & Gym | Shelf for Locker with Easy Install, Locker Divider | Locker Organizer Shelf Kit.First, if your locker's sides flex, like ours does, then this shelf won't work. It relies on pressure being placed on solid, non-flexing metal sides. This shelf was a fail for my purposes. Instead, buy a locker shelf that has legs. The legs support the weight.

Putting these shelves into place required a bunch of juggling, as the clip that holds them at the selected size doesn't clip into anything, so it pops out with the slightest tilt. Then comes the final adjustment...As others have mentioned, these shelves rely on pressure and friction to hold up. Problem is, when the locker itself is either thin metal or plastic (as the one I have in my school), the walls will simply bow out from the pressure, and the grip loosens. Then gravity takes over and what looked like a nice sturdy shelf is now holding on for dear life (and often failing).Fortunately, my locker has a built-in bump in the wall that might have been designed for an add-on shelf, so the shelf kind-of rests on that as well, keeping it steady. But that means I'm locked on to that height and only that height.I'm not sure how this could be made better. Others have suggested shelves with legs, but those have their own drawbacks (such as the space the legs take from the lower area of the locker).Had i actually purchased these instead of having gotten them for review, I'd have returned them. As it is, I'm using one, and wondering if there's some other teacher in the staff who I can play a half-prank on by gifting the other to...😈
