Broke my first one I've had for years, couldn't believe I would find another. Wow, price was a bit more than my other. Things is I liked my old on, I paid up. Nothing fancy, no batteries, works well for me.

This is all you need to find studs. It works 100% of the time. I use it several times per week and rarely get my electronic stud finder out.

There are other magnetic stud detectors with better magnets. This one does not work even when trying out on exposed metal

Works well enough. Need to go slow and pay attention to the tiny magnet, which could be stronger but gets the job done. This unit is better than most of the same tech on the market and at such a low price, why not.
