This is big enough to hold a wireless handheld microphone so your hands are free during the performance. It's sturdy and shouldn't move around on you. That being said, it's a little bulky. The microphone is away from your body and the frame makes it look huge on you and distracting. There are other options out there that are smaller and still every bit as functional. This is fine for emergency situations, but if you can find a smaller option I would go with it.

These 2 Pack Neck Microphone Holders are better than they look online......the holder part for the microphone is very sturdy.
