Plus, if you forget to charge your unit, included is an easy to adapt manual handle with an easy grip wooden handle – I can feel the grain so believe that it's real wood. The moment that I plucked this from the box I knew that I was in for a treat. I adore well made kitchen appliances and this grinder now qualifies as one of my favorites. Initially I was interested in having a compact (I have a gorgeous, large, tall, 1940's-style KitchenAid) burr grinder for travel and camping. To my complete and utter surprise the CF Wisdom unit nudged the KitchenAid into storage in just a few short weeks.I use a minimum of 4-tablespoons of freshly ground coffee more than 250 days a year and this heavy steel and aluminum compact grinder delivers perfection every time: small espresso grind to medium grind for daily brew and more coarse which is perfect for cold brew. My neighbors asked recently if I had stopped drinking coffee 'cause they no longer hear that violent motor of my previous unit; starts my day off a little nicer not hearing it, too! This unit is super easy to load with beans and deliver to your maker with just a flick of the wrist to access the grinds. This unit beats the snot out of the small plastic (mine is spice dedicated) grinder in terms of grind options and audio assault, too. I won't disturb wildlife, campers, or other hotel guests, when I take this on the road as the unit is quiet when using on charge. For all intents and purposes it's silent using the manual adaptor handle. It's easy to maintain between washing with a wipe using a dry cloth to remove coffee oil and a near-daily brush using the little brush that arrive with the unit. Included also is the USB-C adaptor. This coffee grinder is a powerhouse with a small foot print...people ask where my pretty red grinder is and are kinda' blow away as I make us fresh coffee while demo-ing and explaining why the CF Wisdom burr grinder unit turned my beloved KitchenAid burr grinder unit into my 'back-up' grinder. If you find this grinder appealing don't hesitate to give it a little spot in your kitchen. I am extremely well pleased with this entire experience.

I recently began roasting my own coffee for my super automatic espresso machine at home. While I only have drip coffee at work, I figured it'd still taste better with my own roasted beans, freshly ground. I picked up this grinder to take to the office for this purpose. This grinder is extremely well made and attractive. It has the appearance more of a high-end camera lens than a grinder really. It just looks really nice and well made with the finished metal. There's a decent range in grind size but on the down side, it's not a particularly fast grinder, nor one with great capacity. You have to unscrew the top and put the whole beans inside to grind, which limits the capacity since it is entirely contained within the device. Even then, it takes a while for the grinder to get through that limited capacity. It does a good job of the grinding IMO, it's just not designed for a lot of through put. Fortunately, it's still good enough for a cup or two a day at the office, which is all I'm likely to use there. The hand crank is a nice touch in case you want the device to be lighter or run out of battery, though I doubt I'll ever use it.This is a very well finished, attractive grinder, compromised by the amount of throughput it can handle. If you don't need to generate a lot of coffee, it's a good choice but if you're looking for something with a higher capacity, there may be other options that suit you better.

I received the CF WISDOM Portable Electric Coffee Grinder – Manual & Electric Dual Mode, USB Rechargeable, Adjustable Grind, Stainless Steel Burr, Travel-Friendly Design. It is attractive, very sturdy feeling. It is very quiet, you'll be able to get fresh ground beans without waking up the entire house like some grinders. The drawback to that however is that it is very slow. It took around 4 minutes to grind a full chamber of beans. They say to not add more than 25g of beans at a time - that is not a necessary warning as I could only get about 17g in there, and these were just normal sized beans. You'd have to have some tiny beans before the 25g limit kicked in.Which leads to the next issue. I could only get 2.5 reusable K-cups worth of ground beans out of this in a single go. I like to have 3 cups in the morning, so I'll be putting in enough beans to get my first cup faster, and then refilling it while my first cup brews to get the next two ready.I do really like that you can in fact use this as a manual grinder in the event you are somewhere without power and you've used the charge up. That is a nice feature. The included brush is too short to give it a proper cleaning - I couldn't maneuver the brush to clean the burr grinder at the bottom - my fingers and the brush wouldn't fit into the grinder at the same time. I used one of my other brushes I have for cleaning these. You would expect a grinder at this price point to have a pretty nice brush. Also, it would be nice to have a storage bag of some sort included to hold the grinder, usb-c cord, brush and handle for grinding together - especially as it is touted as a portable/take me camping grinder. At a list price of $90 with a 50% coupon available, taking it down to $45, makes this an OK value in my eyes. I really would have expected a storage bag, better cleaning brush and a slightly larger bean hopper.

Gold quality of this thing is pretty impressive and it seems very well-made and has a nice fit and finish. I’m all about a good conical burr grinder. The components seem to be made out of quality materials and the overall finish of the item feels very premium. I didn’t really get a very fine espresso or Turkish grind out of it though and it’s slow.Whenever you have a portable device, especially one with multiple pieces it really needs to come with a case. This has two large pieces and two small ones and what am I gonna do? Just throw it in my backpack? This is a portable device, which means you’re gonna be taking it around. You can use it at home, especially when the power goes out for the manual mode. I would much rather pay a few extra dollars to have a custom fitted case, especially with the oddly shaped handle with this cause you’re never gonna buy a case that would fit as well as one that came with it. This is a pretty significant oversight.Don’t adjust the job well enough. But between the speed and the ground size and the lack of the case, I can’t really recommend it.

I was a little skeptical of this product since it's "one of those" that showed up with a huge discount coupon (50% off $89.99 at the time of review), but it's actually a nice little portable grinder! It's surprisingly substantial--most of it is made of metal--and it functions exactly as expected. It reminds me of other gadgets like my Picopresso.I've never owned a portable grinder before, so I'm not sure how it compares in terms of size, build, and functionality, but I can't imagine others would be much different. I also really appreciate having the manual option as a backup to the rechargeable motor. Fully-assembled, it's about 7" with a 2.25" diameter, and just under 5" if you replace the larger motor piece with the hand crank. Operation is not particularly noisy, either, which is nice coming from my usual loud corded grinder. The motor will also stop automatically when beans are no longer being ground, so that's pretty neat!I find the grind settings mostly comparable to my Baratza Encore ESP, though I just eyeballed everything and don't have the equipment to test this a bit more scientifically. The lowest settings on both are basically powder, so you can use this for espresso just fine. Adjustments aren't particularly user-friendly, but it shouldn't be anything new if you're used to dialing in your grind on other devices. The grind adjustment knob will hit a stopping point at the smallest setting, and from there you'll be able to click it up all the way until (presumably) the knob screws all the way off. I've tried to include some photos of the different grind sizes at several adjustments. For my Hario V60 drip, I'd recommend about 20-25 clicks. A full basket of beans at 20 clicks takes a little over two minutes using the motor.I don't have many complaints! The instruction manual lists 25g of beans as the maximum limit, but I actually found that even 20g is pushing it--and those were smaller beans not leaving a lot of air gaps--so I think that's my biggest gripe. If you end up buying this, be prepared to work with smaller batches of beans. The manual also warns against disassembly and washing anything with water, so make sure you're comfortable only using the brush to clean things. The wooden knob on my crank handle kinda squeaks a little bit, too, but that's just splitting hairs at this point.
