My wife and I really enjoy Mountain House freeze dried meals. We needed items in our emergency supplies that would last more than a few months, and since these have an approximate shelf life of 30 years, we're glad to have them in bulk.We recently went on a camping trip to sample several different popular MH meals, and rated each one.Yellow Curry with Chicken & Rice rated 8.5 out of 10. Doesn't need anything, but can be supplemented with rice to stretch it. Barely enough for two.

You know why? SODIUM! There is so much salt in this product but that’s probably what makes it taste so good. Just be careful if you’re sensitive to high-sodium foods.Also, instructions are to let it sit for 5 min but even sitting for 10 min some of the vegetables weren’t fully hydrated. But the overall flavor is great.

The family loves them for lunch and dinner. Such a great flavor with no need to rotate pantry due to 25 year shelf life!! Convenient and tasty.

This stuff tastes amazing! Other than the box being delivered looks like it got dropped from space. The packaging is high quality, very durable (good for camping) or lasting 30 years in the pantry, it’s easy to store and the food is sometimes BETTER than home cooking. The portions are very filling and I could probably eat this everyday, considering it’s SO EASY to make! Nothing is comparable to MountainHouse, they’re the BEST!

Mountain House has always been my go-to for travel food. As a "road warrior" for business, I got tired of the expense and tedium of going out to restaurants for food. I started bringing backpacking meals with me in my suitcase. However, their prices have gone up. Portion size has gone down. They are re-naming the same meals with fancier titles. Also, they seem to have a supply chain issue; many of the flavors are "sold out indefinitely". I would like to be a brand loyalist but they are making it more and more difficult. Looking at other options at this point.
