Product is working really well, low noise with a decent amount of load. So far happy with my purchase. Will work well for my needs !

For some reason, I have a bad habit of equating "weight" to quality. If something feels heavier than another item of the same potential - whatever it may be - I figure the heaver one is built better and maybe, has more robust parts inside, over the lighter version. So, based on my ignorance of weight vs quality, this is a solid unit!I like the size, too! It feels really strong and if something landed on top of it while driving down a bad road, this unit would just shrug the impact off.One small concern, it the lack of ventilation. The side panels - actually, sides and top are one piece - although ribbed, have no openings. None at the top, either. The only vents are located at the fan at the rear of the unit, and vents at the front. It could be an advantage, because if something like snow or a half-filled cup of coffee spilled on top, there are not many ways into the electronics. The only vibration I can detect, is from the bottom plate. It is a solid one piece, but it is not directly screwed into the side or rear. As a result, it moves in four different directions - north, south, east and west. I have not yet mounted this unit into my truck, but if I do, I will have to put a bead of silicone all along the seams to prevent vibration. Because of the metal box size, this could be the cause of a lot of noise! The ends, each have two cutouts for screws or bolts. The ends are also the lowest points of the unit. A few bolts with washers in the right spot, will keep this unit securely mounted! With a running power of 15000w and a peak draw rated up to 3Kw, it's more than I will need. That is a real bonus - being able to bring along an appliance or two, that take a bit more juice than something running off a battery! Two 120v outlets is fantastic! No need to keep pulling one plug out and pushing another one in. Nice! Now, I forget most of the electronic stuff my friend Tony tried to teach me years ago, but I remember a bit about "pure sine wave" and "modified sine wave". As I recall, a pure sine wave was want you want for delicate electronics. The modified sine wave was "clipped" when he showed me the pattern on a waveform monitor. Without me totally messing this up, Tony was fine with using a modified wave for something a hair dryer or an air pump. But he was much more cautious with powering up a computer. For that, he highly recommended using a pure sine wave unit. Any device will work with a modified sine, but it is harder on the electronics inside. This conversation with Tony goes way back. A lot of years! And Tony had also mentioned that better electronics inside devices like hair dryers and air pumps, was making this issue, less of an issue. Manufactures are well aware of the power grid and how more and more of us, are getting our electricity from different sources. So, they are building better circuits themselves.I think the bottom line is just to be aware of this issue, and purchase your inverter accordingly. In fact, I see that MWXNE makes an almost identical unit, that is pure sine wave, for about the same cost. Something else to look into. The only reason I went on about this whole "power" debate, is because the unit comes with two "computer" outputs. You get one USB-C and one USB-A. I don't know if the output for these two connectors is the same modified sine as the 120v mains, or if the power is cleaner. I think it's a valid question...When mounting your unit in a vechicle, be sure to look up the suggestions of wire size and distance from the battery to the inverter. It requires some math to make sure you are not going to overheat wires, and to make sure you are going to be getting the power you should, out of this unit.Bottom Line - a solid machine! Built like a tank! Mine might live in the truck, or be built into the basement where our solar panels terminate. We sell our energy to the local electrical company, but I have been thinking of diverting two panels for our own use. Could be a fun project! Either way, I feel very confident in this inverter, delivering everything I need!

At the time of writing this review, this 1500 watt power inverter costs $159.99.We've been having worse and worse inclement weather every year, and I want to be prepared in case I ever lose power and I need to back feed my furnace. I already have a switch and plug that I can use to power my furnace and feed it from an alternate source. Since it only takes around 3.2 amps or around 400 watts, and 700 peak watts on start up, this power inverter is perfect for keeping my furnace AND one of my deep freezers running. It was easy to install. It's mounted permanently in the cab of my truck, so I will need to crack a window to run a cord. I'd just stick some Styrofoam around the cord to keep my truck weatherproof. The unit itself is rather large. It can be a bit cumbersome in some vehicles, unless you have a king or extended cab. It's also not remotely weather proof so it must be installed somewhere out of the elements. To test this, once I had it installed, I ran a space heater which I know draws 1444 watts at the highest fan speed and heat, and the inverter ran perfectly. After about 30 seconds, the inverters internal fan turned on and it is very audible. It's not loud, but it's impossible to ignore. It has every safety feature you can imagine. I actually wired it backwards just to see if it would work, and it did. I also used a GFI on it to see if that would work, and it also did. I need to know this because if I ever lose power I may have to run this for hours or days at a time and I need to know it'll keep my house and truck safe.I personally think these should be installed in all vehicles for any number of reasons. I am grateful to have one now.5/5 stars.

I was just reading the other first reviews that came in on this, and saw that my criticism is not isolated. This is a great inverter. It feels solid and well-built. And so far, it has proven to be just that - I have tested it on several decent power hogs at the same time, and it has stood up to the task. It is a nice-looking piece of equipment (for what that is worth). And it's engineered for convenience. For years, we have had an inverter that we've taken on road trips, so that our kids could plug in items that couldn't plug into a DC outlet. It has served us fairly well. But it's ridiculous how easily it is overpowered. This inverter is in an entirely different league. But the fuses! They are truly an inconvenience to access, diagnose, and replace. I thought it was odd that the inverter came with a Phillip's screwdriver. When I had to access the fuse box, I understood. I ended up using a small tool bag as a carrier for the inverter, screwdriver, and cords. I hope I don't end up having to replace a fuse at a dark gas station in the middle of nowhere, at some point.

Really nice inverter to have install in a camper van. Connects to the solar panel and battery just fine and offers running power for your portable devices. Has a built in protection against overloading. Installation is so-so depending on your technical knowledge and expertise. Youtube immensely help in my case on wiring everything to connect to each other.
