Boat hook is well-built and sturdy. Seems easy to adjust. I am pleased with the overall performance.

Very nice boat hook. Looks good, extends easily and locks firmly. Don't think I could find a better one for the price.

Whether fending off a neighboring boat at docking or retrieving a mooring buoy line, this lightweight extendable, floating boat hook it the ticket. Good value. Compact when storing.

So, I give this product a 5star rating, some of you may think I should give less as I explain. The first pole and hook I received was missing the rivet that fastens the upper end of the pole which allows the hook end to just fall off. This was discovered before I used it on the boat. Instead of reaching out to Amazon I contacted, including photos, the manufacturer, Better Boat, because the rest of the product is very high quality. I have 50 years of manufacturing experience and these things happen when thousands of a product are produced. My request for help was immediately answered by Elizabeth of Better Boat. She was very apologetic asked for my order number and had a replacement immediately sent out. I received the replacement in two days with Elizabeth following up daily. The replacement was complete and again of very high quality. The pole and hook are heavy duty aluminum, and the cushion grips are extremely comfortable. I will definitely buy more products from Better Boat first because they have quality products but especially due to the exceptional customer service received from Elizabeth.Sincerely,Dennis Morgan
