This is a great tool, works like any grater and I adore the pink handle. It matches my kitchen set perfectly.

I was looking for a zester to use with some recipes I found online. I guess I didn't read the description carefully enough, since I was expecting it to be smaller -- more in line with a potato peeler size. This one is gigantic! I did like that it came with a removeable plastic cover to guard the sharp grater area. The blade part is stainless steel and the handle is a soft pink plastic. It does a good job, and you certainly have a lot of area to work with! The box says it is dishwasher safe, so that is another point in its favor. I'm just going to take a while to adjust to the size!

Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review.The zester is bigger than I expected. The grating surface is nearly 8 inches longs. In the listing, they’re not calling it a Microplane, but that’s what it really is. The blades are sharp and it produces a fine grating. It has a sturdy plastic handle which is comfortable to hold.When zesting, food goes through easily due to the sharp grating teeth. It works really well when grating a whole nutmeg, and using it on ginger gives you a fine paste. When grating hard cheese like parmesan, the grating gives you fine even particles. Zesting your citrus fruits will be just as good.Clean-up is quick and easy. It much easier to clean than a box grater.All in all, it’s solidly made and it works great.
