Descripción del producto

Conversores RecProRV

We upgraded our 2016 Genesis 24' trailer by replacing the batteries to the lithium. After some research of no power we came across a YouTube video showing this unit needed to be upgraded as well. This was an easy fix, just had to trim the back of plastic insert area for it to fit. Other than that, eying installation, works perfectly. Power supply was hard wired, Great buy, not too expensive. Glad it's all done and working correctly.

I got the 45amp version for my new lifepo4 battery in rv. I tested prior the installation to top off my battery. It did work well with a small current and the bluetooth battery bms accepted the charge well. The surprise came after installation! I depleted the battery to 10% SOC and monitored the charging current. It didn't get more then 15amp, see pictures. It took aprox 11hours to charge the 140Ah battery. This is not acceptable for 45amp converter. The fan never kicked in. I called customer service no way to get connected to tech support, you need to send pictures via email with proof of low amp charging.

I am only giving this charger 3 stars for misleading literature and poor technical support. Let me explain:While this charger is technically Lithium compatible, it does NOT support staged charging with Lithium batteries. I purchased this charger/converter to charge my new LiFePO4 batteries. When I received the unit the instructions didn't have any setup instructions for LiFePO4 batteries. I emailed support, and received the following response: "Hello, right of the 13 is the fixed stage for lithium batteries." (Yes, that's the entire response) After another email I learned that 1. This device does NOT support staged charging for Lithium batteries (LiFePO4 included) - you must set the voltage to a constant voltage of 14.6 volts, and 2. When you set the constant voltage it no longer performs staged charging. This is why their claim that they can support all battery types is technically accurate (albeit misleading). So, to clarify:1. This batter DOES support 4 stage charging for Lead Acid batteries ONLY.2. This battery DOES NOT support multi stage charging for Lithium batteries, including LiFePO4.3. When you set the voltage manually, you can technically charge Lithium batteries, but it will not multi-stage charge when you set the voltage manually.4. If you charge your Lithium batteries using the default Lead Acid 4-stage charging profile, you will likely decrease the life of your Lithium battery because the desulfation stage will blast the battery with a higher voltage (around 15.6V) than Lithium batteries support. That all being said, I believe that if I had a charger/converter like this for my Lead Acid batteries they likely would have lasted longer. I was replacing them every 2-3 years. Too bad I didn't know all this 6 years ago :)Disclaimer: I'm not an electrical engineer. If any of my statements are incorrect, I invite the seller to update the product details to clear up any misconceptions.

I bought the 46 amp model.. twice.. once was an Amazon return.. the voltage never went below 13.89v even though yhe battery was charged to 13.15 volts.. I called the mfg.. and he said it didn't sound correct to him. So I bought another one and started the return on the first one.. the second one came just before Thanksgiving and I tested it on the same battery only this time it wasn't in my rvbecaus ethe weather got gold so I winterized the rv and remove the battery for the winter. Placing the battery on a board I connected some heavy guage wires with sturdy battery clips to the battery. Measured the voltage on the battery befor charge it was at 12.8 voltts.i kept the meter on while charging. It started at 14.2 and climbed to 14.5 volts stayed there gor only a few mins.. then went down to 13.82 volts.i figured that it didn't need that much of a charge so thought all was good.. next day wa Thanksgiving so I didn't check the battery.. I finally went to check it late friday. The meter was reading 13.85 volts.. and there was a puddle ony cent floor.. which is now acid etched..I rook the charger off and used baking soda to neutralize the spilled acid.. cleaned up mess.. and then checked the battery voltage. It was at 13.08volts..the charger never recognized the charged battery or it isn't actually a smart charger/converter as stated.. I believe the latter because both converters showed the same charge cycle.. very disappointed and my cement floor is damaged. I returned both at the same time and did just receive my full refund for both. Just for everyone's reference I had an old maganatek converter. Doing some researchin I found that ost rv batteries only last a year or two.. that didn't seem right to me. The rv battery was in constant nned of water a sign of over charging.. we usually go yo camp grounds with electric so the battery shouldn't ever be drained.. but it was over charging. The battery I currently using was bought in the spring . I was keeping the negative battery cable off most of the summer. And in October I stared looking for a replacement converter.. its now December and I'm still looking.. Because this one isn't it.
