The bag functions as long as you don't pack anything in the top compartment. The whole reason for purchasing this item was to have two compartments, one for gear potentially wet or damp, the other for dry clothing. There are two major design flaws, 1) the handle is too short and makes rolling the bag difficult and most importantly 2) the fabric is so flimsy that it literally has separated from the zipper and sides of the bag after only three trips. Negotiating the short handle is doable but fabric that is falling apart after minimal use is not acceptable. I wrote SEAC about the problem, the bag is several months out of warranty so they will not repair or replace the bag. The reply can be read here: "We are sorry to hear this but unfortunately the purchase date falls out of the one year warranty and is no longer covered. There isn't much we can do. The stitches do look like they can still be repaired by someone but we won't be able to replace this bag under warranty." The bag was not cheap and I would think they would offer to repair it. The material construction is way too fragile to qualify as a scuba bag, which requires robust materials. If you buy this you will NOT be satisfied.

The retractable handle is not long enough to fasten to the base it only goes into the base by 1/2 inch not long enough to reach the screw holes. Should be almost 2 inches longer. Handle pulled out as only fabric at the top of bag holding handle in. Emailed manufacturer to send the right handle and I can fix it. In a phone call after email they were not helpful at all said to return it.

I have had the bag for just over a year (read out of warranty). It is not a bad bag and does fit all the gear. The outside has materials and zippers which are good and without issue. The inside, not so. It is flimsy and sewn such that the stitches come out. The zipper on the large front compartment came off (it is a cheap zipper, not like the outside ones. In addition, I had the same issue as one review with the telescoping handle pulling completely out of the bag. This was repairable but this is bad engineering. The tubes should be attached to the bottom sockets (holes there but no screws). I would continue to use the bag but cannot due to the tearing of the inside seam. I would continue to use this even though it is awkward to use the large, front, internal compartment since there are no straps to hold stuff in the main compartment.

The bag is great, with lots of space for my gear and I would say of very good quality. It includes shoulder straps, did not realize it when purchasing and I think it is a great thing. It is also a trolley, the back is sturdy and the material looks very good, would definitely recommend if you need quality and versatility at a reasonable price
