I bought this to mount on a board for myself and friends/family to practise tying up to and to practise throwing ropes round. It is a good size and very well priced for what I want it for. The casting is a little rough and for mounting to pontoons or a dock it is ok, but I wouldn't want it on my boat as the overall finish is not 'good' enough. For what I got it for it's brilliant and the value is outstanding. For a cleate on a boat spend more and go stainless, but this is a quarter of the cost as a stainless one. I am super happy with it and if I need another practise cleate I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Using this to secure a rope and bucket on an old fashioned well. It secures the rope well and was easy to install. Was also priced at a good point I thought.
