My 2001 Subaru Outback has a plastic modesty panel under the car to hide the bottom of the engine from road debris from below. On the engine side of that panel there was an oil absorbant pad. The pad was saturated due to a leaky valve cover. We replaced the pad with this pad, and it works great! It only absorbs oils, not water, so water won't affect it if it RTS wet.Now, I don't have any oil under the car or on the floor. We replaced the valve cover gasket too, but this pad works great to catch any oil drips. Plus we have extra pads if we need to replace it again. Installation was very easy too.

These are great for cleaning up oil spills. We have a boat and use them when using any toxic oil products to make sure it doesn't get into the ocean. It would also be great in a garage when doing oil changes.

Third year in a row of purchasing these. Husband likes that he can cut them down to size.

Does what it says on the label: will absorb oil/diesel, but does not absorb water. Excellent for putting under filters when doing an engine service to catch drips, and I have packed it around lines when doing air bleeds to catch diesel... works well. If immersed in a boat bilge for a few seconds, will suck up any fuel, while leaving water. Highly recommended!!
