This is a quality unit. Looks solid, feels smooth and tight, no wobble.

I have other Vanguard products and these have all been good products at a reasonable price. I used this on a trip in the country and it worked great. Held my DLSR steady, while I photographed from the vehicle after turning the engine off to keep the camera motionless. Nice mount for the price.

Bought this to use with my Panasonic video cam.Just spent two weeks in the Kruger National Park in South Africa.Highly satisfied with my stable video recordings.Does have a tendency to creep forward but I think it’s because of too much lubrication and being new.

This may lack some of the bells and whistles of the higher priced alternatives but for my needs it fills the bill. I use this with my Pentax 200D for wildlife photography. When in parks or reserves where you must remain in your car, a good window mount is indispensible. This one is sturdy enough to easily support my camera with a long lens. It has a wide mouthed (1 1/4") clamp so it can be used on locations other than window glass. Adjustments are possible in all three axes with secure clamping. It's a pan head, so it is not as readily adjustable as a ball head, but I don't need that functionality.

This window mount is sturdy and solidly built, easy to use and adjustable in all of the right places. Unfortunately, it's very tall, making it very difficult to use in my situation. I have an angled scope and a sedan (a Toyota Camry). If I lower the window so only a small lip protrudes to attach this window mount, I can't look through the scope, since the eyepiece is near the ceiling of my car. Luckily, my scope can rotate, but even then I have to rotate it one way to scan half of the horizon, then shift in my seat backwards, and rotate it the other way to scan the other half of the horizon. This also makes it difficult to find a bird quickly in the scope.I imagine this would be great for a truck, or for mounting a video camera, SLR, or straight scope, but it's very difficult to use with an angled scope. The image on the product shows an angled scope, but this is either misleading, or the SUV in the photo must have a taller window.
